Southwest Business is targeting some Rapid Rewards members with a promotion offering bonus Rapid Rewards points and a limited time Companion Pass.
The Deal
- Southwest is targeting some Rapid Rewards members with the following two-tiered promotion when using an eligible booking tool (GDS, SWABIZ, or one of their direct connect/API partners):
- Book & fly two qualifying round trip flights (or four qualifying one-way trip flights) & earn 5,000 bonus Rapid Rewards points
- Book & fly four qualifying round trip flights (or eight qualifying one-way trip flights) & earn a total of 7,500 bonus Rapid Rewards points, as well as a promotional Companion Pass.
- Direct link to registration (if you don’t see a yellow ‘Register Now’ button while logged in to your Southwest account, you’re not targeted).

- Rapid Rewards Members (“Member”) can earn Rapid Rewards bonus points and also a promotional Companion Pass valid for use from May 1, 2026 through July 31, 2026 when registering, booking in eligible distribution channels, and flying qualifying flights for this Promotion between January 15, 2026 and April 15, 2026 (the “Promotion Period”).
- During the Promotion Period, Member must register for this Promotion by completing the Promotion’s registration form and then, subject to the Rapid Rewards Restrictions set forth below, Member can: (i) earn 5,000 Rapid Rewards bonus points after booking and flying two (2) qualifying round trip flights (or four (4) qualifying one-way flights), and (ii) earn an additional 2,500 Rapid Rewards bonus points and promotional Companion Pass valid for use from May 1, 2026 and July 31, 2026 after booking and flying four (4) qualifying round trip flights (or eight (8) qualifying one-way flights), provided that such qualifying flights are booked through swabiz.com (SWABIZ), Global Distribution System (GDS), or one of our direct connect/API partners through Southwest Partner Services (SPS) distribution channels with Southwest Airlines inventory, and each booking includes Member’s Rapid Rewards account number at the time of booking.
- Member may earn up to a maximum of 7,500 Rapid Rewards bonus points through this Promotion.
- The promotional Companion Pass is valid from May 1, 2026 through July 31, 2026 and allows you to designate one person to fly with you, free of airline charges (does not include taxes and fees from $5.60 one-way) on flights purchased by you, booked through Southwest, and completed between May 1, 2026 and July 31, 2026.
- Registration for this Promotion must be completed prior to booking and commencement of travel during the Promotion Period. To register for this Promotion, Member will need to complete the applicable registration form for this Promotion with Member’s name, email address, and Rapid Rewards account number.
- Member’s qualifying flights must be either a Basic, Choice, Choice Preferred, or Choice Extra fare product.
- Valid on new reservations booked and flown within the Promotion Period only.
- A qualifying round trip flight is a round trip flight on Southwest Airlines from an origin city to a destination city and back to the originating airport or carrier-recognized co-terminal, and a qualifying one-way flight is a one-way flight on Southwest Airlines from an origin city to a destination city.
- For purposes of this Promotion, a qualifying flight must be a flight operated by Southwest Airlines and paid with dollars, Southwest LUV Vouchers, gift cards, or flight credits and those paid with Cash + Points.
- Qualifying flights exclude reward flights, charter flights, nonrevenue travel, Getaways by Southwest vacation bookings, and Companion Pass travel.
- Travel booked or flown prior to Member’s registration for this Promotion is not considered a qualifying flight for this Promotion.
- Rapid Rewards bonus points earned through this Promotion are in addition to the regular Rapid Rewards points earned through Rapid Rewards.
- Changes made to the itinerary after purchase may eliminate qualification for this Promotion.
Quick Thoughts
As noted above, this is a targeted promotion for select Rapid Rewards members. When visiting the registration page, if you’re logged in and see a yellow ‘Register now’ button, you’re eligible. If you can see the promo details but there’s no button, I’m afraid you’re not targeted.
To earn 5,000 bonus points you need to fly two round trip flights or four one ways flights by April 15, having booked those flights using some kind of business travel booking tool (including SWABIZ). My understanding is that SWABIZ.com doesn’t charge more than Southwest.com, so you shouldn’t be out of pocket by booking this way.
If you fly four round trips or take eight one ways, you’ll earn an additional 2,500 bonus points (for a total of 7,500 points) as well as a limited time Companion Pass.
