There’s a targeted Amex Offer that may have been rolled out to additional users today good for $25 back on $100 or more at Staples (or a second version good for 2,500 Membership Rewards points) that’s only good through June 30, 2019. Stephen Pepper first reported this one back on May 13th, but Charlie at Running With Miles reported this morning that he found this offer on all of his cards, so there is therefore a chance that it has been rolled out slowly to more cardmembers, so it’s worth keeping an eye on your account over the next couple of days.
The Deal
- Sync a newly-available Amex Offer good for $25 back on $100 or more in-store at Staples or online at Staples.com
Key Details
- Expires 6/30/19
Quick Thoughts
While these offers usually include terms excluding “bulk purchases”, that likely refers to something like a business that is buying Staples gift cards in bulk to resell in its store. A single $100+ purchase here shouldn’t be a problem based on past experience.
You’ll want to sync this one sooner rather than later if you do see it since it might be very limited / may fill up and get pulled before long. Stephen found this one a couple of weeks ago, but when we checked this morning (since we saw Charlie’s post), Greg and I didn’t find it on any of our cards. Still, Charlie’s report indicates that there is the possibility that Amex is rolling this one out slowly to more cardmembers. It’s worth keeping an eye on your accounts over the next few days to see. Keep in mind that you’ll only be able to use each version (cash and Membership Rewards) of this offer once per cardholder across all of your accounts, so sync it wisely if you do see it.
H/T: Running With Miles
I got 2,500 MR for $100+ purchase.
That’s certainly better. I just updated this post because Stephen Pepper had actually reported this for us a couple of weeks ago. Sounds like maybe there is a fresh round being targeted. Here’s the old post (which notes the 2500 MR version):

Thanks for the repost. Just checked and saw both the primary and the au card of everday got the $25 version. I am not sure if added, would each card receives the credit, given they belong to same account but 1 primary and the other is AU? It said limited to 1 card per card member across all offer channels. Do Primary and AU are considered 2 card members or in AMEX eyes, the same cardmember, the primary?
