Delta and Virgin Australia currently have some amazing deals on flights between Australia and the U.S. Specifically, you should be able to find the following fares on select dates:
- Sydney to Los Angeles: $148 one-way
- Sydney to Los Angeles: $251 roundtrip
- Los Angeles to Sydney: $591 roundtrip
These fares appear to only be available through Orbitz. When you search, the initial results will show a higher price, but you will see the lower price when you click through. Orbitz allows you to cancel within 24 hours for free as well. Here is their cancellation policy.

I suggest clicking through to the Dan’s Deals post. He is updating it with available dates as he finds them. As of now there seems to be space on select days through September.

Hi Mayra. The screenshot is for outbound 2/21 and return on 2/28. I have updated the caption to show that. If you click through to the Dan’s Deals post they have an updated list of dates available. There seems to be fairly widespread availability throughout the year, but my guess is that space is going fast.
