(Update: Partnership ended?) Turo & United launch partnership; earn 5x MileagePlus miles on first rental, 1x after

1

Update 8/2/26: A few years ago, Turo launched a partnership with Delta which enabled you to earn SkyMiles on Turo rentals. They then launched a partnership with United in late 2024 which allowed you to earn MileagePlus miles on Turo rentals as an alternative option.

Their partnership with Delta ended on December 31, 2025, with that news coming via an officially announcement. It now looks like their partnership with United has also ended, but I can’t find any official news about that.

However, the Turo landing page for the partnership is dead and United’s page listing its partners is missing Turo, so it does appear to have ended.

Turo isn’t available on most shopping portals, but it is on Rakuten, Capital One Shopping, and Capital One Offers.

Turo and United have launched a new partnership today which offers 5x MileagePlus miles on your first rental and 1x thereafter.

Turo United

The Deal

  • Earn 5x United MileagePlus miles on your first Turo rental, then 1x miles on subsequent rentals.
  • Direct link to offer.

Quick Thoughts

Up until now, the only way to earn miles or points on Turo bookings has, to the best of my knowledge, been through its partnership with Delta. It’s therefore great to have an additional earning option with United.

That Delta partnership offers 2,000 bonus SkyMiles on your first rental and 500 SkyMiles on subsequent rentals versus 5x MileagePlus miles on your first rental via the United partnership and 1x miles on subsequent rentals. The best option will therefore depend on how you value Delta miles vs United miles, as well as how much your rental costs. Let’s say you value both sets of miles at 1cpp (cents per point). Your first ever Turo rental would need to cost $400+ to make it worth choosing United over Delta, while rentals as an existing customer would need to cost $500+ to make it worth picking Turo’s partnership with United. If you value United miles higher than Delta SkyMiles though, that calculation would be different and so every person will need to run the numbers for themselves.

If you’re planning on booking a Turo rental, be sure to look out for card-linked offers that’ll stack with earnings from one of these two airline partners. At the time of writing this post there are definitely Turo Amex Offers and Citi Offers available and I feel like I might’ve seen a Turo Chase Offer too.
