Quick Thoughts
Walmart Online Grocery sadly doesn’t sell gift cards, so that play isn’t available. This can be a good way to save up to 20% on your groceries though, or even more if you have the Membership Rewards version of the offer depending on how you value those points.
You pick up your grocery order from the store, so there’s no delivery charge to take into account when trying to meet the $50 threshold.
I checked Top Cashback’s listing for Walmart and it lists the following exclusion:
Cashback cannot be earned on Walmart Grocery service
I’d therefore expect that to be the case on all portals, although I may be wrong. That said, it certainly doesn’t hurt clicking through from a cashback portal anyway in case it tracks nonetheless.
Following the recent Amex Offer changes, this Walmart Online Grocery Amex Offer can’t be loaded to each of your cards. You can load one statement credit offer and one Membership Rewards offer to two different cards though.
As for which cards to load the offers, it might be best loading them to cards that earn bonus points at grocery stores. I know Walmart stores don’t normally code as grocery stores, but it might code differently for their online grocery service. If anyone knows how it codes, please let us know in the comments below.

Also found 10 back on 50 at Gap.com, 50 back on 250 at Crowne plaza hotels on my card.
I have a fairly new PRG (from July), and I’m yet to receive an offer with MR points as the reward. What’s the deal with that?
I think it’s just luck. I have a PRG AU card that only gets statement credit offers and another PRG AU card that gets the MR offers.
For those with Chase cards looks like you can earn 2pts/$1 at Walmart clicking through the Chase Shopping portal then using the Amex card. Earn 2X UR points & get $10 off….
Walmart Grocery To Go is excluded on the Chase portal, but it’s worth a try anyway in case it tracks.
You only save 20% if you spend exactly $50…so, it’s not only a “good” way to save 20%, it’s also a hard to accomplish way to save 20%.
I was able to load the Membership Rewards offer on my PRG and the AU card for the same account. Is that normal?
Yes, that’s normal even with the changes. With most offers now, each person can load an offer up to two times – one of the statement credit versions and one of the Membership Rewards options (if available).
I was able to load one cash version and two MR versions.
