(EXPIRED) Wyndham shopping portal: Earn 1k points on 1st purchase + 500 bonus points per purchase after (limit 3k/4k points)

The Wyndham Rewards shopping portal is out with a new promotion that’s offering 1,000 bonus points for first time users of the portal and then 500 bonus points for each purchase after that.

  • A Member who qualifies for Repeat Purchase Bonus Points Offer will receive 500 Wyndham Rewards bonus points per qualifying Purchase completed up 6 times and in addition to the baseline Wyndham Rewards bonus points pursuant to the terms and conditions for the Collinson Latitude Ltd shopping site, set forth below (the “Shopping Site Terms”)).

Quick Thoughts

There’s up to 4,000 bonus points up for grabs here depending on if you’ve used the Wyndham shopping portal before. You can get 1,000 bonus points if it’s your first time using the portal, then 500 bonus points per purchase after that on up to six purchases. If you’ve used the portal in the past, you’re still eligible for the repeat purchase offer giving 500 bonus points – that part isn’t contingent on first being a first time user for the 1,000 bonus points.

While 500 bonus points at a time isn’t a huge offer, there doesn’t seem to be a minimum spend requirement in order to qualify for those miles. That could therefore be a particularly rewarding return if you’ll be making purchases of low cost items. For example, if you spent $5 at a retailer through the portal, you’d effectively be earning a 100x return on top of whatever the standard earnings are through the portal.

Giftcards.com sadly isn’t available through the Wyndham portal as that would’ve been an easy way to take advantage of this offer. Although that site recently returned to airline shopping portals, those are run by Cartera rather than Wyndham’s which is run by Collinson. One option is iTunes as a cheap purchase through there should work. Groupon is another potential option for a low cost transaction.
