ZorkFest 2024 Casino loyalty and points & miles conference: Super early bird tickets end soon

5

ZorkFest is an annual event that is part points & miles conference, part casino loyalty conference, part gambling education, and as I understand it in large part a fun time. This year’s event will be at the Horsehoe Las Vegas from November 1-3, 2024 and tickets are available for sale now. At the time of writing this post, it looks like there are only 5 super early bird tickets left (one sold as I was typing this) and then regular Early Bird ($100 off) will run through August 31, 2024. I’m told that there will be no discount codes of any kind, so if you want to attend it’s worth considering that sooner rather than later.

The Deal

  • Casino loyalty and points & miles conference ZorkFest 2024 will be taking place on the Las Vegas Strip at the Horseshoe Las Vegas (formerly Bally’s Las Vegas) from November 1-3, 2024. Ticket prices are as follows:
    • Super Early Bird (just a few left at the time of publication): $228.88
    • EarlyBird (available until 8/31/24): $288.00
    • Regular price after 8/31/24: $388.00
  • Direct link to registration

Quick Thoughts

I haven’t personally attended ZorkFest, but I’ve wanted to for years. Michael Trager and his team always put together a good list of speakers and the events always sound like a lot of fun. This year’s event is being billed as an “An Ode to Vintage Vegas” as it is being held at the Horseshoe Las Vegas (formerly Bally’s), which I learned (thanks to the event description!) was the original site of the MGM Grand.

For the gamblers among us, they have a casino host set to help out with accommodations for qualified players, it sounds like the conference room has a view of the Las Vegas strip, and they deliberately only schedule one speaker at a time so you won’t miss anything.

If you are interested in attending, you may want to consider booking accommodation sooner rather than later. I’m told that the NFL is set to release its schedule on May 15th and that a home Las Vegas Raiders game could have a noticeable impact on room rates. While Vegas has so many rooms that I rarely expect events like concerts or sports to have a significant impact on rates overall, I’m out of my element on predicting the impact of home NFL games given that they probably bring in both spectators and speculators alike. Since most places in Vegas offer free cancellation more than 72hrs in advance, I’d recommend booking a room sooner rather than later. More information about ZorkFest room negotiated room options is available at the link above, though of course you have a lot of options in Las Vegas.

Here is more info on what’s included that was provided by ZorkFest:

The schedule and topics are set to be released in July, but thus far confirmed speakers include:

Again, I haven’t been to TravelZork before, but I’m familiar with the work of all of those speakers and the caliber of speakers in the past, so I’d expect it to be a good event for anyone with interest in both casino stuff (maximizing tier credits, comps, gambling strategy, etc) and points and miles (since paying less for your travel means more money for the tables?). There’s a lot of overlap between the two worlds, as evidenced by my long-running posts about casino status matching for free cruises (and my coming trip to Las Vegas for more matching fun).

If you’re interested, you’ll save $60 if you’re one of the next few people to buy a ticket, then the price will be $288 through 8/31/24.

Nick, I will send you my address for that hat.

Carl S.

So is any of the Frequent Miler staff attending this year? 🙂

Cough cough NICK 🙂

Michael @TravelZork and TravelZork Travel

Thank you for posting! We are keeping the SEB open until Monday as a courtesy since we have had a (way) beyond-expected response and have sold more tickets in the past 48 hours than ever before. With that being said, Nick is 100% correct, this is the only “extra” discount opportunity. We also have a few extra cool items “in the works” that will be announced soon. One, which is not confirmed, has me beyond excited. BTW, ticket purchases SHOULD (we can never guarantee) code as travel, and we do NOT charge a ticketing fee or credit card surcharge. Questions? Reach out at any time, or feel free to pop over to the TZ Facebook Group:

TY for posting that. Will be a first time attendee.

That ticket that sold while you were typing – that was me! I am really looking forward to the conference (which is really convenient for me, since I am a Las Vegas local that lives a couple miles from Horseshoe Las Vegas – I could even walk to it, but probably will drive) to get a lot of tips and ideas for my miles and points activities.
