Quick Thoughts
It has been a few years now since I shopped for engagement jewelry, but when I went through that process I used the site PriceScope to compare diamonds with specific parameters across a number of sites. I rarely found Blue Nile to have the absolute best price, but they were sometimes competitive and an extra $100 plus portal cash back certainly might make a difference. Depending on how much you’re spending, you may find that paying via credit card isn’t your best option (the vendor from whom I ultimately bought the diamond for my wife’s engagement ring offered a pretty significant bank wire discount) – but, again, depending on your price point this offer might be as good and give you at least some credit card protection.
