There is a new targeted offer out on some cards that is good for 13% back on a single Southwest purchase of $50 or more up to $40 back on $307.69. That’s a weird amount of spend, but it’s a good savings if you’re booking a Southwest flight within the next few days (note the near-term expiration date)

The Deal

  • A new targeted Chase Offer is out for 13% back on a Southwest purchase of $50 or more up to a maximum of $40 back

Key Terms

  • Expires 11/21/23

Quick Thoughts

The biggest restriction here is the expiration: I noticed this offer last night and it expires in 3 days. Still, if you’ll be booking a Southwest flight in the next couple of days, it’s worth checking to see if you have the offer.

Even if you don’t need to book a flight right now, it could be worth booking a speculative Wanna Get Away Plus fare. If you later cancel that ticket, you would end up with a Southwest credit that has no expiration. Furthermore, if you are sure to book a Wanna Get Away Plus fare, the credit will be transferable to anyone. That could be a way to lock in the 13% discount long-term (and in fact, I’ll probably make a speculative booking to save 13% on a future flight).

Don't take my points

8% for us. I’ve successfully used such offers in the past to buy SW gift cards since you can buy those on the SW site. Still doable?

Buzz

Didn’t get it on any cards but plenty of 10% on various Marriott brands.
