If you’re looking to use up some Dell credits, today might be a good day to consider making a purchase: Shopping portal Rakuten is offering up to 15x / 15% cash back on Accessories, Monitors, and Servers (though 10x / 10% on laptops/desktops). That can be a great deal if you’re earning Amex Membership Rewards points through Rakuten and you’re shopping in one of the qualifying elevated categories, though it’s worth noting that TopCashBack appears to be offering 16% back across the board, which would certainly be a better deal if you’re buying a laptop or desktop. Alternatively, Capital One Shopping is targeting some members for increased rates at Dell. Stephen was targeted for up to 22.5% back, though I was only targeted for up to 18% back (on the same elevated categories, but only 9% on laptops and desktops for me).
The Deal
- Shopping portals are offering increased rates for Dell purchases in select categories. Do note the restrictions by portal. Some examples include:
- TopCashBack: 16% back for online purchases
- Rakuten: 15% back / 15x Amex Membership Rewards points on Accessories, Monitors, and Servers (but only 10% / 10x on laptops/desktops)
- Capital One Shopping: Targeted offers of up to 22.5% back on select categories (YMMV)
- It’s always a good idea to compare rates with a tool like cashbackmonitor.com
Key Terms
- Terms vary by portal. Note that most portals offer different payouts for accessories/monitors than for laptops/desktops, so be sure to check the details on your chosen portal
Quick Thoughts
If you’ve been waiting patiently for a good payout to use what may be the last of your Dell credits on a qualifying credit card, today could be a good day to make a purchase. On the other hand, with holiday sales just around the corner, you may be better off waiting for a better deal depending on what you’re buying. Just keep in mind that Dell is getting rid of most third party products.

Great to stack with Amex offer (100 off 500), if available
Good thought! I’ve got a 10% back offer on my Amex Pl Bus.
