TopCashBack is offering 20% cash back today only at Macys.com. This stacks with 20% off via coupon code HURRY. You could also stack it with 4.5% back on gift cards from Seashells or buy through gift card resellers for a bit more savings.
The Deal
- Get 20% cash back at TopCashBack on purchases at Macys.com
- Direct link to Topcashback
Key Terms
- Max cash back at the increased rate is $500 (max purchase of $2,500 – then 8% back)
- Apple products are not eligible for cash back
- Terms exclude purchase or redemption of gift cards (though check our Laboratory for real-world results)
Quick Thoughts
This is a nice rate at Macy’s and stacks nicely with other pre-Black Friday promotions. Apple products are excluded — but I don’t see any other brand exclusions. This would pair well with the current Tumi sale going on across most authorized retailers. For example, this Tumi bag is on sale for $489.99.
That same bag is on sale for $519 at Amazon:
After 20% cash back at Macy’s, the net cost comes down to $391.20. Unfortunately, I can’t find any coupons to stack with Tumi. However, you could buy discounted Macy’s gift cards. According to our Instant Gift Card Deals resource page, you can get 4.5% cash back on Macy’s gift cards from Seashells.
On the bag above, assuming no tax (as that will vary), you could buy a gift card for $489.99 and get an additional $22.05 back for a net cost of $371.05.
Alternatively, you can buy from gift card resellers for a bit more of a discount. In my personal experience, Cardpool never comes instantly, so I wouldn’t go with them if I wanted to buy something today.
On the other hand, you can also buy gift cards through the Mileage Plus X app. As a Mileage Plus Explorer cardholder, I’d qualify for 25% bonus miles. In this case, that would be a total of 1,836 United miles if I bought a gift card for $489.99.
Of course, some items will stack with coupon code HURRY for an additional 20% off the marked prices, making for even better deals that can still be stacked with the discounted gift cards or miles above.
Personally, I’ll be holding off on a Tumi purchase, hoping to stack the eBags Amex Offer ($25 back on $125) with an increased payout or increased eBags rewards over the coming couple of days.
Bottom line
This is a great payout for Macy’s. While many Black Friday sale items may not yet be available during the increased payout period, the high percentage of cash back will work out great on those items which are already on sale. If you make any great finds, let us know in the comments. Note the cap at $500 in earned cash back — meaning after you’ve spent $2500 at this increased rate, your rate will drop to 8%.

[…] that one of the ways I like trying to find deals is by looking in unexpected places — like buying a Nest from Macy’s when they’re offering 20% cash back. When you think of Saks Fifth Avenue, what comes to mind? Gucci shirts? Prada shoes? Louis Vuitton […]
Hi, Thanks for posting this. I see 10% cash back TopCashBack. Am I doing something wrong?
All you’re missing is a time machine. 🙂
Unfortunately, this was a one-day increase in the rate that was good yesterday. The rate dropped after midnight.
Boo! Oh well… Thanks for writing back! 🙂
Thank you so much for posting this! I already was planning to buy a blazer from Macy’s that’s currently on sale, and with the cashback I’m getting it for practically pennies!
