20% transfer bonus to Qatar Avios from Citi Thank You Rewards

0

Citi ThankYou rewards is offering a 20% transfer bonus when you transfer Thank You points to Qatar Airways Avios. Keep in mind that you can transfer Avios onward from Qatar Avios to any of the other Avios programs (including British Airways Executive Club, Iberia Plus, Aer Lingus Aer Club, or Finnair Plus), which effectively makes this a 20% transfer bonus to any Avios program.

The Deal

  • Citi ThankYou rewards is offering a 20% bonus when you transfer Thank You points to Qatar Airways Privilege Club through 11:59pm on 3/15/25. With this bonus,
    • 1,000 Citi Thank You points = 1,200 Qatar Privilege Club Avios

Key Terms

  • Valid for transfers completed by 11:59pm ET on 3/15/25

Quick Thoughts

There are certainly some good uses of Qatar Avios, whether to fly Qatar itself (which costs just 70,000 Avios in business class from the US to Doha) or to fly on partners (JetBlue Mint Class to the Caribbean can be booked for very reasonable rates).

However, there are also plenty of great uses of other Avios programs, such as:

  • Business class from the east coast to Madrid for just 34,000 Avios one-way during off-peak dates (just 29K Thank You points with this bonus)
  • Premium economy from the west coast to Japan from 51,500 British Airways Avios and ~$200 one-way (just 43K Thank You points with this bonus)
  • North America to Europe in economy class from 13,000 Avios one-way (less than 11K Thank You points with this bonus)
  • See our Best uses of Avios for more ideas

We do sometimes see better transfer bonuses to Avios from other programs, but if you’re sitting on Thank You points and you’ve got a good redemption in mind, this bonus could certainly be worth pursuing.
