Valid through 12/31/2014:
Silvercar, the high end all-Audi rental car company, is currently offering members $100 for each friend they refer along with a chance to earn a $500 bonus.
NEW:
Now they are also offering the person being referred a total of $100: $50 off their first rental plus $50 cash when they complete that rental! This is from the Silvercar blog:
When your friend books his/her first rental, have them apply the $50 first time drive credit to their upcoming reservation. This credit can be found in the app MESSAGE CENTER (in the left menu of the app). Your friend gets $50 off their first rental and another $50 cash when they complete that rental.
Here are the rules:
- Signup for Silvercar and refer friends with your own personal referral code or link.
- Each friend must not only sign up but also complete a rental of 2 days or more before the end of this year.
- If you qualify for 5 $100 bonuses, you’ll be given an extra $500 bonus. So, if you end the year with exactly 5 completed referrals, you’ll earn an average of $200 per referral.
Reward payments will be in the form of a Visa debit gift card. More details of this promotion can be found on Silvercar’s blog (click here).
Here’s the downside… Silvercar is only available in the following cities (so far):
- Austin
- Dallas
- Denver
- Los Angeles
- Miami
- Phoenix
- San Francisco

[…] Silvercar referral deal becomes ridiculously good […]
Greg –
Agree with above. I signed up using your link – when you verify the email it says “Make your reservation and save $25” or some such wording. I see the deal you posted above ($50 prior to rental, $50 after rental) but not showing up on the web site …. thoughts?
My best guess is that the credit will show up with your rental despite it not showing on your account. But maybe it will be only as long as you make that first rental within the time period of the promotion? Interestingly, the Silvercar blog shows the exact same thing. Has anyone here booked a Silvercar and can confirm the $50 off first rental?
[…] This one was really marketed as a Black Friday deal, but its good through the end of day Monday. Book with code WACKFRIDAY. Valid for drives starting 12/1 – 12/31. Also, don’t forget that you can make a bunch of money referring friends to Silvercar! I already received my first $100 referral! For details see: Silvercar referral deal becomes ridiculously good. […]
Your link is only good for $25 off first rental. Not as advertised
I don’t know how that could have happened. Did you follow the instructions:
Great info! Signed up under your referral 🙂
Thanks!
I have a10+ plus hour layover in LA on 12/28. Was gonna rent a car to go see some sites during the layover. What do you think the chances are of getting this deal (paying for 2 days) but only keeping the car for one day (10 hrs)?
Good question. I don’t know the answer though! If you try it please let us know how it turns out.
I inquired directly with SilverCar and this was their response:
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate your request because as soon as the reservation is ended it will only charge you for the time you had the car. Since we manually end the reservation there would not be a way to do this. I apologize for the inconvenience. Let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with. Have a great day!
That’s too bad, I was basically gonna profit $23 and drive around LA in an Audi for 8ish hrs. Damn!
Rats. Thanks for updating though
