As I reported last week, Simply Best Coupons has increased their cashback rate on Amex business gift cards to 2% for today only.
Possible Increased Cashback From Other Portals
Top Cashback generally comes out with an increased offer the day after Simply Best Coupons, so we may see 2.25% from them tomorrow. Other portals generally follow suit later in the week as well. For more info on increased cashback patterns, see: Improved Amex gift card deal predictions. It is noteworthy that the latest predictions for Simply Best Coupons were off by a week.
Referral and referral warning
If you haven’t yet registered for Simply Best Coupons, you’ll find a signup link here (along with many other useful links). If you use my link, you’ll get a $5 bonus when you register and I’ll earn a 5% referral bonus each time you earn rewards from this portal, up to a maximum of $50.
Note this warning from the Simply Best Coupons email:
Please note: creating multiple accounts/identities and self-referring in order to get an extra bonus for own orders will get your account blocked and cashback forfeited. Why risk it?
Notes
- Do not use a promo code to reduce gift card fees or for free shipping since that will invalidate your cash back (the Premium Shipping Plan is fine, though).
- Do not buy denominations higher than $2,000 (see: $2K denomination limit on Amex gift card cash back)

Quick question/clarification; after logging into Simplybestcoupons and then clicking through to the AmEx offer, I’m limited in the denominations that are available for me to purchase (something like $25, $50, $100, $500, $3000). However, if I log into my AmEx account (so that I can qualify for the free shipping) I get a lot more denomination options ($1K and $2K at least). Thinking this might disqualify me from any rebate earning status with simplybestcoupons I opened a new tab in Safari (so that I would keep my logged in status on AmEx’s site) browsed to simplybestcoupons then clicked the AmEx offer and I was back to the same limited denominations available for purchase despite being now logged into the AmEx site. I feel like this distinction means that by choosing a denomination not initially available on the initial Simplybestcoupons click would eliminates any ability to earn a rebate. Can anyone confirm?
Thanks!
Be careful to make sure you pick Biz cards on the AMEX site because Be Frugal and AMEX wouldn’t budge on my 1.5% rebate because they said I didn’t pick Biz. I cancelled the order and now they will lose in shipping and fees more than if they had just me the extra 0.75%. Live and learn
