I have a question. I have a CSP. After I get the reserve. Can I just transfer my CSP to a freedom unlimited, keep in mind I already have a freedom. I would like both and not want to hurt my credit by closing the CSP. Also, if I can, is there a way to get the sign up bonus for the freedom unlimited?

Thanks

Greg The Frequent Miler

Yes you can. No, you won’t get the Freedom unlimited signup bonus that way. Another option is to downgrade your CSP to a 2nd Freedom card, then separately sign up for the Freedom Unlimited so that you’ll get the bonus

Jim

So do we know for sure that if we spend $300 between card approval and end of year, we will get it credited back?

And then any travel in 2017 up to $300 will get credited back as well?

If answers are yes to both, are you able to purchase airline gift cards from their websites like Southwest?

My husband app online is pending, 9/24.

Anyway, I am 4/24 and decided to apply at the branch for I wish to have card expedited if I am approved for large expense which I am holding off for this card. I am not pre-approved, but went ahead and applied….Approved! TU & Equifax 835; income 100k. I am now at 5/24 counting Chase Reserve card. I am thinking if I should apply for another card with one inquiry. What are my chance of getting Chase Unlimited or Chase Ink. I have Chase Ink Plus that I plan on closing or downgrading to Chase Ink, but would prefer to get the bonus…I think 20 k? However, I only have one business as sole proprietor (rental property). Could I apply for Chase Ink for same business or close my Chase Ink plus then apply for Chase Ink, no AF.

My husband app online is pending, and got follow up email that if approved he will get his card in 7-10 day or a letter with explanation if not approved. 9/24, TU 835, Equifax 800., income 100k, has checking & savings with Chase for over 10 yrs.

under 100k income ~4-5 cards in past 2 years 790ish FICO approved for a 10k line. Loyal chase customer with auto loan, cards savings and personal and business checking. I had to call 877-470-9042 for verification, I was suuuper nice (yes sir no sir I appreciate it sir) and had to wait like 20 minutes because they are busy but was worth it.

Tyler Fabian

Instant approval (arrival in 7-10 days), 794 FICO, under 5/24, $34k credit line.

Will call Chase CSR after card arrives to confirm 100k bonus after $4k spend in 3 months.

Appreciate you helping us stay on top of this, Greg!

I don’t have 5/24. The online application told me they needed more time. Called chase this morning, was onl hold for 10-15 minutes, then they asked if i wanted more credit line or if i was willing to move limits around. I said I wouldn’t’ mind more credit however I’m really most interested in the new card. We moved some credit lines around from two cards and they approved me. Said I should get the card in 3-5 Days, and that they couldn’t expedite it anymore since there has been a TON of interest in the card, since it was leaked online.

Greg The Frequent Miler

Recommendation: If you applied and got a pending decision, DON’T CALL. By waiting for the automated process to plow through, you still have a chance of automatic approval. You can still call recon if denied. If you call now, though, you’ll forfeit your chance of automated approval.

Patti D

I applied and got the 7-10 message. Do I need to call or just wait to see the results? Looks like most everyone is being denied when calling. I think I have 2 Chase cards and authorized user on 2. Didn’t realize authorized counted against you. If I need to call can someone give me the number?

Amy

I can’t believe Chase isn’t relaxing 5/24 in order to soak up a huge amount of $450 fees. Greg any updates on what the heck the exec’s are thinking over there at Chase?

efs

Instant approval, 30K credit line, way under 5/24, FICO 780, 275K income. Have been keeping my powder dry for really good offers, I guess that it paid off.

Adrian C

I applied and got 7-10 message. Called recon and was denied due to too many credit cards open. I am right at 5/24 with one credit card falling off in October.Wouldnt budge on 5/24

joE

Christ is ANYONE getting instantly approved who’s under the 5/24? just freaking normal instant approvals, anyone?

Matt E

I did. But I only carry AMEX Platinum (for about a year now) and a Chase United Club Visa (about 4 years now) so I am way under the 5/24 rule.

Diana

Yes – just walked into a Chase branch and was approved. Whole process took less that 10 minutes with a rep. (I’m not a Chase checking or savings client)

Jon

What are your stats? How exactly did the conversation go when you walked in? Thanks!

Diana

“Hi, I’m inquiring about the new Reserve Card”
Then a private client associate helped me with the application. The only thing she asked was my gross earnings – $145K.

Then she processed the application and asked me to which address she should send the card.

FICO: 808
Last Chase application was over 1 year ago

Jonathan

Just applied in branch at Chase for the Sapphire Reserve card. I’m at least 7/24. The helpful gentleman confirmed I had a pre-approval. Pulled the trigger and was approved. So, I guess 5/24 isn’t always applied for this card. I don’t know if it was considered but I’ve had a Chase Sapphire Preferred for 4 years and indicated I would cancel it if I got this one.

Jon

How exactly did the conversation go when you walked in? Did you specifically mention the Sapphire Reserve? Or just ask if you were pre-approved for any cards?

Thank you!

Matt E

Just got approved and card will arrive in 7-10 business days. Purchase APR is 16.24% (variable). Do you think when I receive the card I should call RE: 100,000 points after minimum spend is met?
