Through September 30th, Kroger is offering 4X fuel points on participating gift cards, with unlimited use. This should be valid on most third-party and fixed-denomination Visa/Mastercard gift cards, but is not valid on variable-load cards. This can be a great deal when combined with a card that earns a good category bonus at grocery stores.
The Deal
- 4X fuel points on third-party and Visa / Mastercard gift cards (in $25, $50, or $100 fixed denominations) through September 30, 2017
Key Terms
- Expires September 30, 2017
- Excludes variable-load cards
- Must use your Kroger loyalty card
- Coupon shows unlimited use
What are the fuel points worth?
Every 100 Fuel Points will get you $0.10 off a gallon of gas. Therefore, every $25 you buy in gift cards (25 x 4 = 100 fuel points) gets you $0.10 off per gallon (usually you are limited as to total gallons and fuel point value, but this may vary by area).
Quick Thoughts
This is a solid deal on earning fuel points for gift cards, especially considering the fact that it lasts for more than two weeks and is good for unlimited use. According to Danny the Deal Guru at Miles to Memories, the deal may also work on larger-denomination Visa and Mastercard gift cards, but it would be smart to do a small test purchase before making an extra large purchase. That same advice holds true with regard to participation — be sure to make a smaller purchase to make sure your store is participating in the promotion as it’s possible that not all stores participate. Danny also points out that earning fuel points could get you credit towards free cell phone service with Kroger Wireless. Coupon details for each coupon follow:

Anyone know if this applies to Harris Teeter also since Kroger owns HT?
It does, but the Harris Teeter stores I checked out in Charlotte accepted cash only for gift card purchases. Might still be worth it to get cheap gas.
I rarely shop at Ralph’s. How long do fuel points take to expire?
Expire at the end of the following month.
$100 is maxed fixed amount; variable has never worked for me
