Quick Thoughts
With summer vacation season in full swing, this is a great offer to see for those with upcoming stays at Andaz hotels. It’s great that this promotion includes both paid nights and award nights, doubling the value whether you are paying out of pocket or with your Hyatt points.
Keep in mind that the bonus promotional nights have some lag — if the double nights will take you over the hump for a new level of status, you’ll be waiting until after the end of the month for the bonus nights to post.
Between the revamped World of Hyatt Credit Card that now offers elite night credit for spend and this double elite night credit promo, it looks like Hyatt is hoping to welcome back members they lost when they transitioned from a stays-based requirement for top-tier status to a nights-based requirement. Those looking to qualify without spending 60 nights in Hyatt hotels can now do so for significantly fewer nights between this promo and the new credit card, and that will be exciting for those interested in chasing Hyatt elite status once more.
