Through tomorrow (11/27/17), Bed, Bath, & Beyond is offering a $25 gift card rebate when you buy a $200 in Visa Gift Card. This rebate can be filed twice per household/address. Furthermore, it could be stacked with current Amex Offers for either $5 / 500 Membership Rewards points back on $25 or more to mostly mitigate the activation fee ($6.95). You may also be able to stack with in-store cash back from Ebates or miles from Alaska/United on in-store purchases (though terms exclude gift card purchases, so YMMV), which could make this one nicely profitable if a store near you still has stock.
The Deal
- Buy a $200 Visa Gift Card, get a $25 Bed Bath & Beyond gift card via rebate
- Stack with Amex Offer for $5 / 500 points back on $25 or more
- Potentially stack with in-store cash / miles back
- Link to rebate info (search “Blackhawk”)
Key Terms
- Rebate valid on purchases through 11/27/17
- Postmark by 12/27/17
- Limit of 2 per household
Quick Thoughts
I’ve done these Bed, Bath, and Beyond rebates the past couple of years. I keep copies of everything just in case, but haven’t had a problem with them yet. Last year, the rebate was for a $25 Visa gift card, this year it’s only a Bed, Bath, & Beyond gift card. That’s still not terrible as public resale rates on those gift cards are north of 80%, meaning you could likely sell it for more than $20.
If you’re also stacking with the Amex Offer, you’re looking at getting $25+ back on a $200 Visa Gift Card, an easy money-maker.
Furthermore, United Mileage Plus shopping and Alaska Mileage Plan shopping are each offering 1.5 miles per dollar on in-store purchases if you link a credit card.
That’s an extra 300+ miles for every $200 Visa Gift Card. Alternatively, Ebates is offering 4% cash back on in-store purchases at Bed Bath & Beyond. However, the terms on both Ebates and the mileage portals exclude earning on gift cards. I don’t yet know whether or not that is enforced, so I think it’s worth a try.
At the end of the day, this is an easy money-maker. The rebate will probably take several weeks, but I’ve had success with them in the past. I’ll be passing by a store this afternoon and plan to take part with credit cards linked separately to Ebates and Alaska Mileage Plan to test and see whether either work for future reference.

My BB&B doesn’t carry any gift cards. I’m assuming this is impossible to do online, correct?
Don’t forget MileagePlusX offers 4 points for BB&B.
Went to register with $200 VGC, cashier scanned it but she could not figure out how will I get $25 GC. So called manager, he tried few things and finally said, I will take $25 from this transaction, are you OK? 🙂 .
So paid 175 with activation fee using four Amex CC (with BB&B offers). No rebate to deal.
What do you submit when asked for upc?
I took a photo of the barcode under the flap. Not sure if that was right but hope so!
Rebate is horrible to deal with. Submitted it online and already rejected with sales receipt and everything. Ebates cashback posted though,.
What was the reason for rejection?
I had the offer on 14 cards. Bought 4 VGC’s (I have a 2nd address to submit 2 rebates to) and had the cashier split the payment ($100 on 2 of them, $50 on the other 12). Stacking 14 Amex offers, Ebates instore, and the rebate make this a great deal.
Did you tip your cashier? lol
This is insane… went to three BB&B last two days and none had Visa gift cards.
Fourth time’s the charm! Finally found one, and split it on 7 AmEx cards. eBates cashback received, waiting on AmEx deal and rebate now.
Did this on Friday and was able to get the Ebates cash back!
