There’s an Amex Offer out today that may be targeted, though it appears widely available: Spend $150+ at Comfort Hotels, get $30 back. Interestingly, this one only includes Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites, and Comfort Inn & Suites locations and only in the US and Puerto Rico. All other Choice brands are excluded. Still, if you have a Comfort Inn stay planned, this is an extra thirty bucks in your pocket.
The Deal
- Spend $150+ at Comfort Hotels, get $30 back with new (targeted?) Amex Offer

- Terms state that reservations must be made online at newcomforthotels.com or by using the mobile app — note that newcomforthotels.com brings you to choicehotels.com

Quick Thoughts
This offer would obviously be a good way to save a few bucks on a paid stay. Also, while it notes that it is not valid for physical gift cards purchased online, I imagine it would work if purchasing gift cards at the front desk. That said, I’m not sure whether they sell gift cards at the front desk. Further, according to their website, they are experiencing issues with gift card acceptance and therefore gift cards aren’t available at this time. YMMV.
This offer would certainly stack with the current Choice Hotels offer to stay twice and earn 8,000 points (currently enough for a $50 gift card). I imagine that multiple stays will probably trigger this Amex Offer, so you may be able to stack both offers with a couple of cheap stays — but remember that this offer is only valid at properties in the US and Puerto Rico.
