Delta is offering a bonus $20 Starbucks eGift card when you buy $300 in Delta gift cards. On the surface, that may not sound quite as good as the Best Buy offer launched today, but GC Galore reports that this offer will probably stack with a current targeted Amex Offer to get 4,500 Membership Rewards points with a $300 Delta gift card purchase (targeted, enrollment required).
The Deal
- Delta is offering a bonus $20 Starbucks gift card when you buy $300 in Delta gift cards at the link below. This may stack with a targeted Amex Offer to earn bonus Membership Rewards points.
- Direct link to this deal
Key Terms
- Valid through 12/18/23 (or “while supplies last”)
- Bonus Starbucks eGift will be emailed to eligible purchaser separately from the Delta Gift Card, to purchaser’s email address listed at time of purchase.
Quick Thoughts
Whether this deal is of interest likely depends on whether you are targeted for the Amex Offer for buying Delta gift cards. While the terms for that offer list a specific URL, Stephen cites reports of another recent Amex Offer being triggered when purchasing Delta gift cards from the same promo URL being used for this offer. Your mileage may vary, but it seems likely that they will stack. Assuming you have enrolled in that offer, the stack between 4,500 Membership Rewards points and the bonus $20 Starbucks card would make this a very good deal for anyone in the market for Delta gift cards.

One more data point – I purchased through the Starbucks link last night and within minutes had email from Amex that confirmed I had triggered their Delta 4500 MR point offer. I already see the 4500 MR points added to my account the next day. Success!!
I have Starbucks on my boycott list. Their actions are in support of genocide of the Palestinians. #boycottstarbucks
I don’t think that this promo stacks with the Amex offer. You have to go through a different promo website to use the Amex offer and there is no mention of the Starbucks Card. You will not get the 4500 MR points if you buy a gift card through this site, even if you have added the Amex offer to your card.
I can confirm it stacks. 4500 MR points just posted today from purchasing yesterday, and I got the $20 Starbucks gift card.
That’s surprising since the terms of the Amex Offer say that the points will be awarded as such “Get 4,500 additional Membership Rewards® points one-time by using your enrolled eligible Card to make a single purchase of $300 or more on Delta gift cards online only at delta.com/giftcards/amex ”
Not the ‘only’ part. But you got them going through the promo.giftcards.delta.com site?
The link listed in the Amex Offer redirects to a similar URL on Delta’s website (except ‘promo’ is replace with ‘buy’, both of which have payment processed by CashStar. I hadn’t been certain with the previous 3x-7x offer if they would stack, but we had positive confirmation that it did.
Amex Offers in many cases say you have to go through a specific link and when they say that, in 90% of cases you do not need to use the special link. As Stephen explains below, the meat and potatoes of the link was the same (domain / payment processor), so it made sense that they would likely stack.
The $20 Starbucks card weirdly only has 6 characters in the “pin” and Starbucks.com wont accept it as the pin needs to be 8 characters. Any suggestions on how to add this GC to my SB account?
That’s strange that your PIN only has 6 digits. I just did this deal and my PIN has 8 digits.
That is strange indeed. Mine says “code” instead of “pin” and the characters are both numbers and letters. The Starbucks app only allows input of numbers.
