United Airlines has flights from Los Angeles to Singapore on sale next month for just $384 RT nonstop. Note that this is a long flight (scheduled at 17 hours, 55minutes going westward and 15 hours, 15 minutes on the return).

Flights are widely available in November at that price:

These flights are bookable directly at United Airlines at this price.

Unfortunately, according to ITA Matrix, these are a K-class fares.

That means they will only earn 50% mileage flown in most programs, only 25% mileage flown if credited to Singapore Airlines and just 5 miles per dollar if credited to United (see a full chart with all partners at Wheretocredit.com).

Discounted prices are available from some other cities as well. For example, you can fly from New York with one stop in LA or San Francisco for $469.

Bottom line

This is a long way to fly in economy class, but the price is right if you’re looking to get to Singapore cheaply in the coming weeks. I went to Singapore earlier this year and had a great time.
