The Deal

  • Must book by 11:59pm on 2/8/19 in the local time of your airport of origin
  • Valid for travel from March 26 – May 30, 2019
  • Discount varies depending on elite and cardholder status
  • Must log in to your United account to see the promotional pricing
  • See promotion page for full details

Quick Thoughts

A round trip economy award to Tahiti normally costs 70K United miles (plus taxes). With this sale, you’ll pay between 42K-56K round trip depending on what your elite status is and whether or not you have a United credit card. Here’s the chart:

Depending on fares from your local airport, that’s probably a pretty good deal even for someone who has no status but at least has a United credit card and certainly might be a great deal if you live in a smaller market where fares tend to be high for connecting itineraries.

However, there isn’t much notice on this one as it ends tonight (Friday, February 8th) at 11:59pm local time of the airport from which you originate.
