There’s a new Amex Offer out today that’s good for $50 back on $250 or more at Dell.com (enrollment required). That can be a decent deal if you need something from Dell, but you can stack it a bit further with increased shopping portal rates to make for an even better deal.

Quick Thoughts
This Amex Offer certainly could be nice if you have plans to make a purchase at Dell. It could be further juiced a bit if you go through a shopping portal for a good rate of return since you’d be earning portal rewards based on the full purchase price (before Amex Offer credit).
For instance, at the time of writing, here are some good portal offers:
- 13% cash back via TopCashBack
- 12% cash back / 12x Membership Rewards points per dollar at Rakuten
- 10x United miles via MileagePlus Shopping
You may also want to keep an eye on Capital One Shopping. I had a targeted offer for 15% back there today.
At a base level, earning 13% back on a $250 order would yield an additional $32.50 to stack on top of the $50 you get back via Amex Offer for a net $82.50 off/back on $250. That certainly could be a good deal.
Keep in mind that Dell allows you to split tender over up to three cards, so if perhaps your spouse also has the Amex Offer, you might be able to stack on a larger purchase as well (or stack with a card that has a Dell credit benefit).
I’ve personally almost run out of things to buy at Dell, but my wife and I have used a bunch of credits recently to buy Nintendo Switch games that we’ll hold and give as future gifts. While Dell doesn’t always have the best pricing on their games, this type of stack could make for enough of a deal to make it worthwhile (YMMV).

Player 2 got an offer for $100 back for $500 spend.
My 15 year old desktop can’t be upgraded to windows 11 so I might take them up on it.
I have never been able to split a Dell payment over more than 2 cards, is there a trick I am missing?
