Sam’s Club is offering a $500 Southwest Airlines gift card for $400. It isn’t often that you can save 20% on airfare; this can be a great deal if you’re likely to buy Southwest flights.
The Deal
- Sam’s Club has a $500 Southwest Airlines eGift card for $399.99
- Direct link to this deal (our affiliate link)
Key Terms
- Limit of 5 per customer / account
- Likely valid 11/23 only
Quick Thoughts
Obviously you have to consider that you won’t earn travel bonus category rewards when booking your flight if you’re using a gift card to pay and you will be giving up credit card travel protections if your gift card covers your flight purchase in full. However, in the right circumstances, it can still be well worth it to save 20% on a Southwest Airlines gift card.
This is an excellent deal that likely won’t last (frankly, I’m surprised it has already lasted a couple of hours). If you have a Chase Freedom card and haven’t yet maxed out this quarter’s 5x category, you could stack that here since warehouse clubs is one of this quarter’s 5x categories (which you can earn on up to $1500 in combined 5x purchases).
Note that gift card purchases ordinarily don’t track through shopping portals, but you could always click through one just in case and hope to get lucky.
Chase $24 offer
Also Rakuten 12% is tracking but I doubt they’ll pay out. Too good to be true.
The deal is dead btw.
Thank you for this post. With the companion pass, A-List preferred and Chase Freedom (Unlimited) – not as good for this but absolutely the best for earning using the trifecta cards – This deal earned me at least $1000 in free travel.
