GiftCards.com is offering 6% off on Virtual Visa Gift Cards on up to $300 in gift cards with code CYBERVISA. You should be able to stack that with portal rewards, though technically only if the code appears in your chosen portal.
The Deal
- GiftCards.com is offering 6% off on virtual Visa Gift Cards (on up to $300 in cards) with promo code CYBERVISA, CYBER6, or VISACYBER
- Direct link to this deal
Key Terms
- Only valid on up to three $100 virtual Visa gift cards up to $18 total discount
Quick Thoughts
The virtual Visas carry a $6 activation fee, so this sale will essentially just mitigate the fee on three $100 cards. Unfortunately, the code only applies to the $100 cards — you can’t buy two $250 cards and hit the max discount of $1 — you have to buy three $100 cards instead (or you could use the code for a single $100 card, but then you’re missing out on the chance for more spend).
This should stack with shopping portal rewards. Most portals state that GiftCards.com allows for earning portal rewards on up to $2,000 in purchases per month, so keep that in mind if you’re placing an order. Each code says it is valid for one use. I’m not sure if you’ll be able to use each code one time.
These cards apparently no longer allow you to add billing details, they say you just use your shipping address in the billing field but I’ve tried it on multiple sites and haven’t found one it works on yet.
I think the portal terms were at one time $2k per month, but as of at least August 2023, that seems to have changed to $2k per order instead. Within the last few months, I’ve successfully gone well above $2k per month on the AAdvantage portal and every order (which was slightly less than $2k) has tracked and paid out.
Good to know! That’s been my experience with capital and shopping since Capital One shopping launched, but I didn’t know it was working that way with the airline portals. Great tip!
So far, none of their codes work today.
I tested CyberVisa myself and it worked fine.
Weird. Tried two browsers, all three codes. Every time it says “This promotion does not apply to your order.”
Oh wait… $100 limit. Never mind. It never says that in their email.
Same thing happened to me. Because it was clearly the case for the past couple promotions, I was specifically looking for the $100 limit in the terms of the email and it wasn’t there.
