Wyndham cardholder promo: Earn 3k bonus points when paying 3 different bills 3 consecutive months

14

Barclays is once again targeting Wyndham cardholders (and possibly cardholders of other cobranded cards) with an offer that’s awarding 3,000 bonus points when paying three different bills for three consecutive months.

Wyndham Rewards credit card bill pay bonus points

The Deal

  • Make three bill payments per month to the following service providers for three consecutive months on a targeted Wyndham credit card & earn 3,000 bonus points:
    • Internet, Cable & Phone Services
    • Select Bill Pay Streaming Services
    • Utilities
    • Fitness Clubs & Gym Memberships
    • Local Transit & Commuting
  • Direct link to registration.

Key Terms

  • If you previously registered for this promotion between Feb–Aug 2025, you do not need to re-register to earn bonus points.
  • This offer is for select cardmembers and is not transferable. If your account is closed or you switch to another product prior to August 31, 2026, you may no longer be eligible for this promotion. For purposes of these offer terms and conditions, eligible cardmembers who registered for the Wyndham Rewards Earner Recurring Bill Pay Campaign between February and August 2025 will occasionally be referred to as “Previously Registered Cardmembers” and eligible cardmembers who register for this offer between December 1, 2025 and May 31, 2026 will be referred to as “Newly Registered Cardmembers”.
  • To be eligible to receive 3,000 Wyndham Rewards bonus points (the “Bonus”) pursuant to this offer, you must:
    • be a Wyndham Rewards Earner Card, Wyndham Rewards Earner Plus Card, Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card, Wyndham Rewards Visa Card or Wyndham Rewards Earner Access Card (each a “Card”) primary cardmember or authorized account holder; then
    • if you are not a Previously Registered Cardmember, complete registration no later than May 31, 2026; then
    • between December 1, 2025 and May 31, 2026, set up new automatic recurring bill payments using your Card with each of three different merchants, which bill payments have qualifying MCCs (as defined below) (or clarity, automatic bill payments with merchants that were set up by Newly Registered Cardmembers prior to their registration for this offer, and automatic bill payments with merchants that were set up by Previously Registered Cardmembers prior to December 1, 2025, will not count toward this offer); then
    • after registration and December 1, 2025 (whichever is later), complete at least one (1) online payment per calendar month with each such merchant, during a three (3) consecutive calendar month period. Without limiting the foregoing, for clarity, to qualify for this offer, the recurring bill payments to each of three (3) different qualifying merchants must all occur during the same three (3) consecutive months period of time, such that at the end of such period, a total of nine (9) recurring bill payments have been completed (three (3) for each month). For the avoidance of doubt, any payments made with your Card outside of the recurring bill pay process described above, including, without limitation, payments made in person and/or directly on a merchant’s website, will not count toward this offer. For clarity, the latest that the third consecutive month online payment can be made to a merchant is August 31, 2026.

Quick Thoughts

If you don’t already have these recurring bills set up to be charged to your targeted Wyndham card, I’m not convinced that earning 3,000 bonus points offers enough of an incentive to make the effort to change that. That said, if your recurring bills are fairly low (e.g. you pay for three different streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Peacock), 3,000 bonus points would be an outsized reward.

If you have a Wyndham Rewards Earner Business card, don’t forget that that card earns 5X points on utilities which includes telecommunications, cable, satellite, electric, gas, heating oil, and water. Earning 5X on an ongoing basis as well as 3,000 bonus points does make this offer a little more appealing.

Would loading money 3 times for transit toll service in Florida (SunPass) work to trigger the credit?

Dima

The way I read it, you need 3 transactions with three different providers, a total of 9 transactions.

Dima

I did get a targeted email, but when I try to register I am getting a generic error message ‘We’re unable to process your registration due to incorrect information’. Anyone else getting this?

JohnB

Same here! It seems all these promos have buggy IT issues.

pam

yup! here as well!

Jason

Could you just charge $1 to each of the 3 companies each month for 3 months?

Andrew

Interesting. It’s a little bit of a hassle to set up bill pay if you don’t typically use it but for Earner Business cardholders you’d be able to do this while getting good returns on many categories. Utilities, phone, internet, and cable all earn 5X on the Earner Business which is as good as it gets in those categories without AMEX or Chase offers.

I already use my Wyndham Earner Business for my utilities & gas, so I nearly hit the measly $1K limit they have on my card when I have ~two months worth of purchases on the card (last month’s plus this month’s, before I pay the bill). I have read that asking for an increase in the limit usually results in a hard-pull and I am not keen to do that. So this promo is not enough to make me change how I approach this card, unless they decide to bump my credit limit.

Frank

Why not just pre-pay the card? I do that regularly to keep my credit score low.

jeph36

I certainly could, but I will probably not bother just for this promo (not to mention that I do not have enough other charges to trigger the promo requirements). I do not do pre-pay on any other cards, and this one has no effect on credit utilization reported to credit bureaus since it is a business card. My point is, if they want me to spend on their card and have promos to encourage that, they should at least give me a credit limit that is reasonable to allow me to do so.

Frank

I am confused. Can all these 3 payments each month be in the same category, just different vendors? Like different utility companies?

Frank

Thanks, I’ll give it a go.
