New Kimpton Secret Password: “Social Sent Me”

Several times per year, the hotel chain Kimpton (which is part of IHG) releases a secret password on its social channels. If you say the password when checking in, you get a free prize.

The latest password has been announced which is valid for much of the summer – “Social Sent Me”.

The Deal

• Use the password “Social Sent Me” when checking in at Kimpton properties.

Quick Thoughts

My wife and I are quite fortunate because we’ve only stayed at Kimpton properties a handful of times, but it’s nearly always coincided with a secret password and so we’ve been able to get some kind of reward.

The reward varies from hotel to hotel, so it’s not like there’s a set prize you win. Our first time was in Chicago where we got a $30 food & beverage credit. Another time we got to spin a wheel and we won free parking. Another time the reward was meant to be a bottle of bubbly, but they were out of that and gave us a nice, large plush blanket to take with us.

It’s always a little awkward saying the password, so you could always try to be creative. Our first time at a Kimpton, the password was “Out Of Office”. Rather than us saying this, we had Truffles reveal it to them in her mini suitcase (Kimpton is very pet-friendly and doesn’t charge a pet fee).

Truffles is teetotal and so didn’t join us at the bar to enjoy our food & beverage credit. However, the hotel did kindly offer her a reward nonetheless.
