Rakuten: Earn 22x at Viator today (1/14) only

2

Rakuten is currently offering a 22x return for Viator purchases. Considering rewards earned through Rakuten can be transferred to American Express Membership Rewards or Bilt nowadays, that’s a superb earning rate. You’ll have to move quickly though as this rate is only available today (January 14).

If you’re not a Rakuten Member, they’re currently offering $50 (or 5,000 Amex or Bilt points) for signing up and spending at least $50 in your first 90 days. If you would like to use one of our referral links, you’ll find them below:

Quick Thoughts

Capital One Shopping occasionally offers very high returns for Viator bookings, but the catch with that portal is that you can only redeem the cashback earned for select gift cards.

Unless the Capital One Shopping rate was absurdly high, I’d much prefer to earn 22x through Rakuten seeing as they’re transferable to your Amex Membership Rewards or Bilt account. If you spent $250 on activities today, that means you’d earn 5,500 transferable points which is an excellent return on your spend.

This rate is only available today, so it’s worth booking soon if there are any activities you’re interested in for upcoming trips. Many Viator experiences can be cancelled for free, so you could always make some speculative bookings now and cancel them later; just be sure to verify the cancellation policies first and take screenshots of them just in case.

If you’ll be spending at least $325 in a single transaction, check your Amex cards for a Viator Amex Offer giving $35 back on that much spend.

Does anyone know if you can do the “reserve now, pay later” option today and still get this Rakuten offer? I got the “your cash back is in the works” banner when I tried it, but curious how this shakes out with actually receiving the 22x later.

Terms say no card linked offers but I can’t think they would check?
