$200 back on $1000 at Hilton resorts in the Caribbean

20

There’s a new Amex offer out today that could save you $200 when you spend $1000 or more at Hilton Resorts in the US, Caribbean, and Latin America. Unfortunately, the link to participating properties is broken, so it’s impossible to know for sure which properties are included right now, but if you have an upcoming stay at a Hilton resort in the US, Caribbean, or Latin America, you might as well sync this offer in case you’re able to make use of it.

The Deal

  • Earn a one-time $200 statement credit after using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $1,000 USD in one or more qualifying purchases on room rate and room charges at participating Hilton properties in the US, Caribbean & Latin America from 2/23/2026 to 6/16/2026.

Key Terms

  • Expires 6/16/26
  • Offer valid at participating Hilton Resort properties in the US, Caribbean, and Latin America.
  • Please reference americanexpress.com/hiltonresorts2026 view participating properties.
  • Reservations for participating Hilton Resorts must be made online at hilton.com, through the Hilton Honors app, or by calling 1-800-445-8667.
  • Excludes gift card purchases.
  • Offer does not apply to advance purchase rates, including Advance Purchase, Save Now & Pay and Non-refundable rates.
  • Corporate Cards are not eligible for this offer.
  • Qualifying purchases must total a minimum of $1,000 USD, following conversion from a foreign currency.
  • By enrolling in this offer, you agree that American Express may process your transaction and personal information (including where applicable, sharing your Hilton Honors number with Hilton) for the purposes of administering the offer, communicating with you about it, and facilitating your offers experience in accordance with the American Express Privacy Statement.
  • Offer only valid on room rate and room charges.
  • Offer not valid for lodging stays that are paid for before the promotion start date or after the promotion end date.

Quick Thoughts

It’s always important to keep in mind that Amex offers for Hilton properties exclude advance purchase rates. See the bolded section of the terms indicating that advance purchased, save now and pay, and non-refundable rates will not qualify for this offer. That’s because those types of purchases are processed differently and will not code as coming from a qualifying hotel.

Speaking of qualifying hotels, as noted at the top, the link to qualifying properties appears to be broken. As such, I can’t access exactly where the offer applies, though I would suspect that it probably applies to most resorts in the regions indicated. Nonetheless, it might be worth waiting a few days before making plans to use the offer, as I imagine they will get that link fixed. Then, you could at least be sure that the resort where you’d like to use the offer qualifies.

Nick – thanks for mentioning the broken link. I had just been looking at the Hilton resort list to plan a trip use the resort credit on my Aspire card. I assumed that this AmEx offer would work at all the report properties on the Hilton resort list.

I was about to book using the offer but thought I should double check to make sure that my property was on the AmEx list so did a Chat with an AmEx rep. He said the resort that I was about to book is NOT included in the offer. Ouch.

The AmEx rep said that he didn’t know of a problem with the link and that the link worked for him. I sent him the link to this article.. As you suggested, I will wait a few days and see if the link is fixed and confirm for myself which properties are on the list. .

I have an AMEX Hilton Aspire card (but was a longtime HH Diamond even before I got it) and this and many other Hilton (hotel) offers never seem to populate into my offer tab. Perhaps they think that as a Hilton cardmember that I already will book nights and spend $ with their hotels, and thus, don’t need to extend it to me. And that’s one of the reasons why I switched the majority of all my hotel business over to Hyatt. Had I gotten this offer, i would have booked a multi-person, multi-night stay at an all-inclusive in Mexico. Now, I will do one night by myself to get the semi annual resort credit, then move to a nearby Hyatt affiliated property.

Exactly….i get it. Their loss. 🙂

I somehow got it on my Hilton Aspire card! But maybe because I have very little spend on my card right now? I usually do only see them on my platinum card, but my partner got it on her Gold and not her Aspire, so I suspect it is a bit random in addition their attempted targeting.

NB6

Same for me. Got it on the Aspire card.

I also have very little spend on my Aspire card, as I switched all of it to my Chase Hyatt, so there has been a big dip on annual hotel spend for the last few years. I went from 60-70 nights a year to 5-10.

You can chat with an Amex rep to get the hotels. Just ask them to paste it into the chat; formatting is messed up but control F works

I’m using FNRs for the Waldorf Astoria in Costa Rica starting tomorrow, which I reserved back in September. Do you think this statement credit would apply to my situation? I don’t know if it counts as pre-paid, but the certs I used are in a “pending stay” status. I don’t know that I could (or would want to) rack up $1000 in charges in 4 days. That’s a lot of expensive dinners and spa treatments.

Michael Ball

I haven’t looked at Costa Rica, but when I got this offer and was staying at the Grand Wailea in Hawaii, I booked my diving and snorkeling activities through the hotel. I was similarly using points and certs and wouldn’t have racked up much of a bill…

The charges ended up on my folio, I believe I ended up with 34X total HH points and $200 back. At least at GW, the prices were nearly identical to booking directly with the same operators. So it was well worth contacting the hotel, and to be quite honest less work than me normally booking things. 🙂 At least when the hotel staff are great, it was a nice experience that I wouldn’t have normally considered.

Spiderman's girlfriend

Nick, am I guessing correctly that you cannot stack the Fine hotels and resort amex plat credit with this?

Spiderman's girlfriend

I thought it was too good to be true!

Brendan

Can you stack this with the $50/quarter Hilton benefit on the Amex business platinum?

Spiderman's girlfriend

I would think so but following to see what the experts say….

Andrew

You can stack them sort of – if you spend $1,000 on charges to your room like food, spa, and parking.

Michael Ball

If you have the offer on that card, then I would believe so. The ‘Amex Offers’ stack with the card benefits in other areas.
