Hilton Grand Vacations is currently offering a good vacation package that requires attending a two-hour timeshare presentation. You get 2-4 nights of lodging in one of several specific locations, and 100,000 Hilton Honors points for as low as $199 + tax.
Nick once did a Bluegreen Vacations timeshare presentation and felt great about it. The presentations themselves are lengthy, but if you’re able to get your “no” face on and can use travel to one of the included locations, this could be a pretty good deal.

- A confirmed reservation may be rescheduled up to seven (7) days prior to arrival for a charge of $19.95. Should your plans change within seven (7) days of your scheduled arrival, requiring a cancellation and change to your reservation, the equivalent of one (1) night at the currently published retail price ($175-$900) for the applicable resort or hotel at that time will be charged to the credit card used to purchase the vacation package. Quick Thoughts
Hilton Grand Vacations periodically introduces variations on this basic offer. This particular one is applicable for less locations than usual; eight in total, including options in Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Arizona, and New York City. Depending on when you stay, the cash cost for many of the lodging options would be an excellent deal… and that’s before considering the points.
In exchange for agreeing to attend a 2-hour timeshare presentation, you get 2-4 nights’ lodging and 100,000 Hilton Honors Points for $199-$299+tax (and an additional $19.95 for changes made up to 7 days prior to arrival). You buy the package now and then have 12 months from the date of purchase to use it. Note that the points will not post until after you travel, so you won’t get them instantly.
Our reasonable redemption value for Hilton Honors Points is .41 cents per point, so you’re getting around $400 in value from the points alone. Throw in several nights’ lodging and the deal gets interesting, especially if you already need to travel to one of the included destinations.
Timeshare presentations are notorious for being somewhat exhausting affairs. To prepare, it’s probably helpful to read Stephen Pepper’s Timeshare Presentation Survival Guide: Get your “No” face on.

Is there any way they would know or a spouse or cohabitating living/income person if you are on the timeshare stay by yourself and not wearing anything suggesting you’re married?
I’m so curious about this, too! I don’t always bring my P2/spouse with me when I travel so how would they know?
Ive done Hilton twice, and genuinely felt a little bad leaving without purchasing anything. Not because of any sort of guilt trip, but because the sales people were super nice. IHG OTOH if Im going to be in the area, will attend just to be a prick.
Can you do these more than once a year? I did one in Vegas in October (and said no). Im doing another one in DC in March.
Only later did I found out the T&C say you can’t do it more than once a year. I’m sure they can see my history, but didn’t have any problem booking me nor mentioned anything about my presentation in October
Hopefully there won’t be any issues when it comes time for them to pay out the points and certificate (never had a problem with that in the past but then again never did more than one in a year).
Did this offer for NYC. If you don’t have trouble saying “no,” it’s really fine.
I just glanced out onto the street (which was more interesting anyways) and didn’t internalize what they said.
“Do you understand the numbers I gave you?” “Yes.” “Are you interested?” “Absolutely not.”
How many days was the NYC lodging?
Two nights
