IHG One Rewards is offering a 15% discount on award stays for Chase IHG credit cardholders. Unlike previous promos, this one doesn’t seem to include elite members without an IHG card (at least for now).
The discount is valid for stays between March 7th and April 20th, but must be booked by March 9th. The 15% discount won’t stack with a 4th-night-free deal, but does apply to Points and Cash bookings, though only the points portion of the price is discounted.
Stephen got an email announcing this sale, but my wife and I, who have IHG cards, didn’t receive anything. Because of that, I assumed that it was targeted, but now I see that we’re both getting the discounted rates when we search within the sale’s date range. So, even if you haven’t received an email, make certain to check pricing if you have an IHG card and are staying somewhere before April 20th.

The Deal
- Chase IHG One Rewards credit card holders will receive a 15% discount on reward nights booked by March 9th, 2026, for stays between March 7th and April 20th, 2026.
- No special code is required. You’ll see the discount reflected in search results when logged in to the website or app.
Terms and Conditions
-
Only Reward Nights booked by March 9th, 2026, for stays from March 7th to April 20th, 2026, qualify for the Offer. Dates are based on the hotel’s time zone as identified on the participating hotel’s booking page at the time of booking.
-
The Offer is not available with the “Fourth Reward Night Free” cardmember benefit when booking a stay of four (4) or more consecutive Reward Nights.
- The Offer is for a 15% discount on the number of points needed to book a stay using points only.
Quick Thoughts
This can make for some good deals, as a 15% discount saves you a decent chunk of points. Note that if you have an IHG free night certificate that can’t be topped off with points (like the certificate from the old IHG select card or from a credit card promotion), then this discount will make some properties bookable with a cert that would otherwise be too expensive.
The deal won’t stack with the 4th night free benefit offered on cards like the IHG One Rewards Premier, so cardholders will only see the discount reflected on stays of up to 3 nights. That makes it seem like IHG is encouraging members to check out early or book shorter stays. However, the overall discount offered by the 4th night free benefit is larger, so cardholders already get a better deal than 15% off on stays of 4 nights or longer.
If you have an IHG property in mind over the next six weeks or so, it would definitely make sense to lock it up over the next few days to you qualify for the discount.

I’m platinum elite through the Chase Sapphire Reserve, don’t have an IHG branded card, and got an email for 15% off award stays.
I booked a room today. 15% points discount. No great deal. 0.8 cents per point.
Sounds like a great deal since the average cpp for IHG is 0.61
