1

Hyatt is encouraging members to stay at its new (to Hyatt) all-inclusive brand Bahia Principe by offering 2X points on stays from April 1 through June 30, 2026.

World of Hyatt promotion 2X points at Bahia Principe

The Deal

Key Terms

  • Register for the promotion between March 24, 2026 and May 30, 2026 to participate.
  • Only Eligible Stays at participating Bahia Principe hotels and resorts completed after registration and between April 1, 2026 and June 30, 2026 (“Promotion Period”) will count towards this promotion.
  • All Eligible Stays must be completed by June 30, 2026.
  • Beginning on your first Eligible Stay after registration and during the Promotion Period, you will receive double points per Eligible Stay at participating Bahia Principe hotels and resorts. For a property to be participating in the promotion, it needs to be participating in World of Hyatt at the time of the member’s reservation and stay.
  • All points awarded under this promotion are Bonus Points.
  • Under this promotion, you will receive five (5) Bonus Points per eligible U.S. dollar spent on your Eligible Stay. This is in addition to the five (5) Base Points you would earn as your base earning.
  • You must choose to earn World of Hyatt Base Points as your base earning for your stay. If a member chooses to earn Bonus Miles, they will not be eligible for this promotion.
  • For the purpose of this promotion, an “Eligible Stay” is defined as any stay where a member is paying an Eligible Rate or redeems a free night award.
  • Eligible Stays must be booked directly with Hyatt.
  • Only the room occupied by the member will count toward this promotion.
  • Please allow two to three weeks after checkout for Bonus Points to be posted to your World of Hyatt account.

Quick Thoughts

Bahia Principe is an all-inclusive brand, with 9 of their 23 properties being adults-only. About half their properties are in the Dominican Republic, with the remainder being located in Jamaica, Spain (and Spanish islands), and Mexico. You can find the full list of locations here.

You ordinarily earn 5X points on paid stays, so this promotion will boost that earning rate to 10X. If you have elite status in the World of Hyatt program, you’ll also earn bonus points from that, although that’s only calculated on the base earning rate – not on the bonus points earned from this 2X promotion.

It should stack with this separate promotion that’s awarding 3,000 bonus points for every three nights you stay. The two promos are only overlapping for the first half of April, so there’s a narrow window of stackability.

All of these properties seem like mega resorts or rundown and outdated. Am I missing something about this brand? This doesn’t seem like a great edition to Hyatt.
