Sometimes when Best Western runs promotions they’re mediocre. Their latest award sale isn’t one of them as it’s giving up to 50% off when redeeming points.
The Deal
- Best Western is running the following award sale:
- 10,000 points per night for properties usually costing 12,000-20,000 points
- 20,000 points per night for properties usually costing 24,000-40,000 points
- 40,000 points per night for properties usually costing 56,000-70,000 points
- Direct link to offer.
Key Terms
- Offer valid on stays through February 4, 2024.
- The free night stay includes the cost and taxes for one night in a standard room, and excludes incidental charges, resort fees (at some locations), or any other fees that the Hotel may charge, such as parking fees.
- Free night redemptions available at 5,000 and 8,000 points will remain available during the Promotion Period.
- No extensions, substitutions, or replacements available.
- Promotion is not valid with any other offer, promotion, rebate or discount.
- Promotion is subject to cancellation or change without notice.
- Only available in the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean.
- Not all hotels are required to participate in this offer and holiday exclusions may apply.
Quick Thoughts
The savings you get from this promotion will vary depending on what the regular award pricing would be. Getting a 20,000 point property for only 10,000 points is excellent as that’s a 50% discount. Getting a 12,000 point property for that same cost of 10,000 points obviously isn’t as amazing, but any time you’re redeeming fewer points for an award stay is still a great deal.
There is a potential caveat with this award sale though which is the final bullet point of the terms: “Not all hotels are required to participate in this offer and holiday exclusions may apply.” Hopefully that’s just a generic disclaimer that most hotels won’t look to game, rather than just giving them a license to either not participate at all or blackout most of November and December by making them “holiday exclusions”.
Does Best Western ever do promos for OCONUS areas like Japan?
Either BW’s IT is problematic or 90% of the properties are not participating. I searched across LA, Vegas, CO, and TN.
They do this every year and every year it gets worse
I’m booking the Lake Elsinore Best Western (softball tournament) for this weekend. No points discount is being offered. Looks like they are not participating.
