Best Western launched a new promotion yesterday giving a $100 bonus card free when staying three nights. That’s not the only promo they launched yesterday, as they’re also giving 10,000 bonus points for every stay through February 4, 2024 which will stack with that bonus card offer. There’s a slight catch though – for this 10k promo you have to book by December 3.

- A Rewards Member can earn 10,000 Bonus Points a maximum of ten (10) times during the Promotion Period. The total Bonus Points awarded for this promotion may not exceed 100,000 Bonus Points per Rewards Member.
- An “eligible stay” for the purpose of this Promotion is defined as a stay of one or more consecutive nights at the same Best Western branded hotel, at a rate eligible for earning points or airline/partner rewards, with the exception of a stay booked through an online travel agency, a stay booked through a tour operator, or a stay booked at a special discounted rate (see BWR program rules for further information on eligibility criteria). Multiple check-in/check-out at the same property with less than 24 hours between check-out and check-in will only count as one eligible stay. Eligible stays which take place during the Promotion Period must be completed on or before Sunday, February 4, 2024 to be counted towards the promotion.
Quick Thoughts
The first line of the terms suggest that this might be a targeted offer, but it’s worth trying to register anyway in case it’s open to all.
There’s all kinds of stackery that can be done with this promotion. One is that aforementioned promo giving a $100 bonus card for every three nights you stay. Those three nights don’t have to be consecutive, so if you happened to need three sets of one night stays where Best Western served your needs, you’d earn that $100 bonus card as well as 30,000 bonus points.
That’s not the only stacking option. You can click through from a shopping portal – check Cashback Monitor for the best rates. At the time of publishing, Rakuten is offering 20% cashback or 20x Membership Rewards which is the best we’ve ever seen and is an incredible rate. Be sure to check Capital One Shopping too as that sometimes has increased rates on a targeted basis. Those can come via email, but also by going to the Capital One Shopping home page on desktop, clicking ‘Filters’ and searching the merchant list for Best Western.
There’s also a Best Western Amex Offer giving $20 back when spending $100, as well as a Chase Offer giving 10% back.

I registered for this promotion as well as the $100 promo. In my account, it shows that I’m signed up for the $100 and for a double-points offer, but this one isn’t showing up. I was targeted for specifically 10,270 points per night via email. Anyone else see if they’re signed up? (I screenshotted my registration confirmation in case it isn’t honoured)
Their Black Friday promotion of $20 promo gift card (expires May 2024) for each $100 gift card purchase (purchased card has no expiration) should be stackable also.
I have a ~$450 mid-December stay for which I had redeemed hotels.com OneKeyCash (a program that is no longer interesting, but I had existing balance to use up) but since then canceled.
BestWestern.com rate was slightly cheaper, and I bought three $100 e-gift cards. I was able to immediately use all three plus the three $20 promo gift cards as part of the reservation process. I had successfully registered for the $100 promo gift card promotion which will hopefully stack. I’ve now registered for the 10K points promotion which will hopefully also stack. I’m glad the T&Cs are slightly different with the former requiring three nights and the latter requiring any stay. That makes me a bit more hopeful that BW won’t claim that the two promotions are variants of the same promotion and so you only get one.
Looks like the gift card offer is not processed by BW, keeping the Amex offer and the GC offer from stacking.
Even so, these are some impressive promotions IMO.
