Spirit is out with a two-pronged promotion today. The headline offer is that you can save up to 85% when using promo code 85PCT, with the other offer being that you’ll earn 250 points one-way or 500 points round trip.

- To qualify for the Free Spirit 250 one-way or 500 roundtrip points promotion you must (i) be a Free Spirit member; (ii) book travel on a Qualifying Flight Segment.
- A “Qualifying Flight Segment” is a trip originating from/to any station operated by Spirit Airlines and booked by 11:59PM ET on Nov 28, 2023 with travel completed by February 29, 2024.
- Free Spirit Bonus Points will be automatically added to your account after completing a Qualifying Flight Segment.
- Bonus points earned through the Free Spirit 250 one-way or 500 roundtrip points promotion would offer standard Status Qualification Points (SQPs).
Quick Thoughts
I’m curious as to how heavily that “up to” wording will be carrying this promotion. If many flights are eligible for that discount, this will be an excellent offer even if the base fare portion of Spirit fares won’t be as high as with many other airlines. However, if only a handful of routes and/or dates are eligible for the 85% discount and others only get a discount of something like 10%, that’s much less noteworthy.
It might be possible to gain further savings if you’re a member of Spirit Saver$ Club. You can get a 30% discount on an annual membership by going through Capital One Business Deals (formerly Capital One Spring); you don’t have to have a Capital One card to set up a free account with their Business Deals website.
