Best Western (BW) has launched what could be a very good promotion, offering a free night award after staying two nights at BW properties before May 5th, 2024. It’s still Best Western though, so you don’t get much time to use the voucher…it has to be redeemed by August 25th, 2024.
In addition, once you qualify for the free night, you’ll get an e-mail giving you either 2x or 3x points on all additional stays before 5/5/24.
The Deal
- Stay two nights at Best Western properties in the United States, Canada or the Caribbean Islands & receive a free night voucher.
- You must complete the stays by 5/5/24.
- Free night voucher must be used by 8/25/24.
- Free night voucher is only valid at Best Western properties in the US, Canada or the Caribbean.
- Registration Required
Key Terms
- Best Western Rewards® members who (a) register for the promotion on bestwestern.com, (b) complete two (2) eligible nights* at any Best Western branded hotel in the United States, Canada, or the Caribbean Islands between February 5, 2024 and May 5, 2024 (“Promotion Period”), and (c) have a valid email address listed in the Rewards Member’s account profile at the time of registration for the promotion, will earn a free night award redeemable at any Best Western branded hotel in the United States, Canada or the Caribbean Islands.
- There is a limit of one (1) free night award (“Free Night Award”) a Rewards Member can earn during the Promotion Period.
- Promotion registration and BWR enrollment/membership is required prior to the first eligible night applied towards the promotion. Eligible nights completed prior to promotion registration and BWR enrollment/membership will not count towards satisfying the promotion requirements. BWR enrollment may be completed by visiting bestwesternrewards.com.
- Please allow approximately two (2) weeks from completion of the second eligible night stay to receive the Free Night Award.
- The Free Night Award will be sent electronically to the Rewards Member’s email address.
- The Free Night Award will expire on August 25, 2024. No extensions, substitutions, or replacements are available.
Quick Thoughts
This Best Western Rewards promotion has the potential to be more rewarding than most of their usual offers. You could book two cheap nights and then receive a voucher for a free night at any property in the US, Canada or Caribbean Islands. There doesn’t appear to be any restriction on which property you can redeem the voucher at, provided there’s availability.
However, Best Western’s gonna Best Western, so the promotion is more restrictive than it needs to be. You earn the free night on stays through May 5th, 2024, but the voucher you receive is only valid through August 25th, 2024. The terms state that it can take up to 2 weeks to actually receive the voucher, so you could potentially have as little as three months in which you can actually use your free night stay (if you completed the last qualifying night on May 5th).
Still, provided you can use the free night to some value before the end of August, this is an excellent offer. Remember to click through to Best Western from a shopping portal before booking your stays – you can find the current rates here and here.
Anybody tryna sell there free night
Does earning preference (BW points vs. Airline miles) affect promotion eligiblity? I searched the terms and they only required the rate to be “eligible for earning points”.
“Eligible night that take place during the Promotion Period must be completed on or before May 5, 2024, to be counted towards the promotion.”
Will a stay checking out on May 6 qualify?
No, it wont.
Hi, I’m confused. You said it says “Stay twice” and “must complete both stays,” and replied to Richard below that it had to be two non-consecutive nights. But the graphic you posted says “Stay 2 nights,” and under that in Step 2 it also says “Stay 2 nights.” And the terms you posted say “complete two (2) eligible nights.” It doesn’t say “2 stays” anywhere. I just booked a 2-night stay and now I’m confused. Can you clarify? Thanks!
Sorry, thanks for catching that. It should say “or consecutive.” I’ll edit that.
But according to Best Western it’s not 2 stays, it’s 2 nights. All through your article you state (even in the headline) that it’s “stay twice” or “2 stays” but it’s not. It can be one stay of 2 nights.
For example, you have:
The Deal
Stay twice at Best Western properties in the United States, Canada or the Caribbean Islands & receive a free night voucher.
You must complete both stays by 5/5/24.
That is not correct. “Stay twice” and “both stays” would be the case if they had to be 2 separate stays, But it can be one stay.
Yes, that’s correct.
Wish these deals weren’t geo-restricted. We live in Japan and can never do these deals.
Does booking 2 rooms for the same night at the same hotel count as 2 nights?
Unfortunately, no. It would have to be two different (or consecutive) nights.
Saw this offer at a BW in NYC last week, looks decent and may give it a go.
Does the free night actually work at ANY best western?? Or is it like the Wyndham where their ‘free night’ is only 7500pts which gets you nothing really.
It says any Best Western in the US, Canada or the Caribbean (and I believe that past deals with these sorts of vouchers have been the same).
I just received a voucher from my recent stay. It seems some WorldHotels properties are not showing up on BW website but on WorldHotels website where there isn’t a place to input details of Free Night Voucher. I’d think WorldHotels belongs to BW so this was a bit surprising…I plan to call in and ask
Are there any Best Westerns in the US that are really good?
I’m looking at the BW Premier Mariemont for a quick trip to Cincy for a friend’s wedding this spring.
