Big Capital One Offers for Vrbo, Best Western, Choice, Trip.com, and more

0

We’ve published several posts today about excellent Capital One Offers people are finding within their Capital One credit card logins. Realistically, there are too many great ones to list all of them individually, so I am lumping together a few notable lodging offers in this post.

Clarion Hotel Copenhagen Airport - Bedroom

The Deal

  • Numerous targeted Capital One Offers are out today. Some lodging-related offers that we’ve found include:
    • Vrbo: Spend $1,000 and earn 10,000 miles
    • Best Western: Spend $400, earn 10,000 miles
    • Choice Hotels: Spend $300, earn 5,000 miles
    • Trip.com: Spend $300, earn 15,000 miles
    • Agoda: Spend $350, earn 5,000 miles

Key Terms

  • Each of these offers is likely written to indicate that they require meeting the minimum spend requirement before the cost of taxes and fees is added

Quick Thoughts

As is the case with the numerous other excellent, targeted Capital One Offers being found today by many cardholders, these offers represent excellent return on spend. All of these amount to greater than 10x miles, which is an excellent return for any of them. Keep in mind that you’d effectively be clicking through the portal to book direct with Best Western or Choice Hotels, giving you the opportunity to stack with the chance to earn hotel points, trigger current hotel promotions, etc.

The Vrbo offer could obviously be appealing to those who appreciate a vacation rental. There aren’t often opportunities to stack additional rewards on those types of bookings, so I could see the Vrbo offer being popular among the folks who prefer that style of accommodation.

I’m not sure that the Trip.com offer is limited to lodging. I used Trip.com in China last year for train tickets and entrance tickets to visit the Terra Cotta Warriors. Trip.com also sells flights (including Xiamen Air business class at rates that are oftentimes far below what you find on mainstream sites like Expedia). You’ll have to check the terms of the offer for limitations.

Keep in mind that to find these offers, you’ll need to log in to your Capital One account and click “more offers,” where you see a subset of offers between your credit card balance information and transaction information. These are not Capital One Shopping offers, though they do function like a shopping portal.
