Bilt pausing transfers to Emirates Skywards May 27 through June 19

At the end of last month, both American Express and Chase advised that points transfers to Emirates Skywards would be unavailable from the end of May.

In the case of Amex Membership Rewards, that pause will be starting on May 28 and has no specified end date, while for Chase Ultimate Rewards transfers will be paused from May 29 through June 30, 2025 (tentatively).

At the time, there was no word from Capital One or Bilt as to whether their ability to transfer to Emirates would also be impacted. Well, it turns out that at least one of those programs is being affected because Bilt has advised that they’re pausing Emirates transfers as well.

In the case of Bilt, they’re pausing transfers a day earlier than Amex and two days earlier than Chase. That means the last day – for now – to transfer from Bilt to Emirates is today (May 26). From May 27 through June 19, you won’t be able to transfer Bilt Rewards points to your Skywards account. If you have a need for more Emirates Skywards miles, you’ll therefore need to jump on transferring over points ASAP, regardless of which program you’re planning on transferring from. Just bear in mind that you’re now only able to book Emirates first class with Skywards miles if you have elite status with Emirates.

Purportedly, this is due to a planned software overhaul at Emirates.
