The details of Bilt’s January 1, 2026 Rent Day are out, and the first Rent Day of 2026 offers very weak value, with members being targeted for either a 30% or 40% redemption bonus when using points toward Amazon purchases or for a Rent credit. Both of these are among the lowest-value uses of Bilt points, even after the 30% or 40% boost, so we wouldn’t recommend that readers redeem for either of them. For a few more days, members who live within the GoPuff footprint can also earn 10x Bilt points and free delivery on Home Delivery orders.

Targeted Amazon.com redemption bonuses
Some Bilt members will be targeted for bonuses when redeeming points for Amazon.com purchases as follows:
-
Eligible members will receive either a 30% or 40% redemption bonus
-
Bonus applied on redemptions made during Rent Week (December 27, 2025 at 9:00 AM ET – January 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT)
-
Eligible members will see the offer in their Bilt account
Personally, I don’t see this offer at all in my Bilt account. That may be due to the fact that I don’t have my Bilt account connected to Amazon, since redeeming points toward Amazon purchases comes at such a poor value (0.7c per point). Even if you are targeted for the higher 40% bonus, that means you will only receive 0.98c per Bilt point, which is far below our Reasonable Redemption Value of 1.55c per Bilt point. You can do far better with your Bilt points, whether by booking travel through the Bilt app (at 1.25c per point) or by transferring to airline and hotel partners.
Rent Credit Bonus
Some Bilt members are targeted for bonuses when redeeming points toward rent as follows:
-
Eligible members will receive either 30% or 40% redemption bonus
-
Bonus applied on redemptions made during Rent Week (December 27 at 9:00 AM ET – January 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT)
-
Eligible members will see the offer in their Bilt account
Much the same as redemptions for Amazon purchases, redeeming toward rent is at even lower value than Amazon purchases. You can ordinarily receive 0.55c per point when redeeming Bilt points for a rent credit. Those targeted for the higher 40% bonus will therefore get 0.77c per point redeeming toward Rent. That is a significantly lower value redemption than most of your other options with Bilt points, so I certainly wouldn’t recommend this even with a 30% or 40% boost.
10x points on Home Delivery + free delivery
Bilt launched a partnership with GoPuff this year, offering members “Home Delivery” whereby they can effectively place GoPuff orders from within the Bilt app and earn Bilt points. If you need Home Delivery and it is available in your area, it is worth checking out your options via Bilt. Here are the details of this promotion:
-
10X points on all Home Delivery orders (regularly 1X points)
-
Free delivery on any order size
-
Available during Rent Week (December 27, 2025 at 9:00 AM ET – January 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT)
-
Elite Status members continue to receive free delivery beyond Rent Week
You would be wise to comparison shop against other delivery services like Uber Eats, Instacart, DoorDash, etc. I’m not sure how Bilt Home Delivery compares on the price front since GoPuff is not available in my home area, nor in the much larger metro area that I am currently visiting (even when Chase had a partnership with GoPuff, long ago expired, I had great difficulty using my monthly credits and was often surprised by the lack of presence in many cities). If you have the ability to get delivery in your area and prices are competitive, the temporary ability to earn 10x Bilt points could certainly be appealing.

Bottom line
With new Bilt cards set to launch in February, I imagine we will see stronger Rent Day promotions in the coming months. I wouldn’t be redeeming for Amazon or Rent Credit even if targeted, since there are plenty of stronger uses of Bilt points even without any Rent Day bonus at all.

This feels like Bilt doesn’t want us dumping out points on costly transfers before they nerf the blazes out of us with Bilt 2.0.
We started renting late summer and got the Bilt card and even achieved Gold status. With how weak the rent days have been, it feels like a rug pull. This is also the last Rent Day before the changeover which makes me want to stay away from the higher fee cards coming out (pre order Jan 14 and selection by Jan 30)
I think this may be the weakest Rent Day ever, which would be concerning if the transition to 2.0 weren’t so close in time. I suspect February (the last one under the old card) will also be weak, and hopefully March (the first one after Bilt 2.0 arrives on 2/7) is a banger.
Yeah exactly. I can give them a pass for the next two Rent Days, understanding that they may want to fly a bit under the radar until the Cardless transition happens. Definitely expecting things to get better after though!
