British Airways is offering a 35% bonus when converting hotel points in British Airways Avios. While this works with points from a number of hotel programs, the two with which it would likely be most attractive are:
Starpoints:
You always receive a 5,000 point bonus when converting 20,000 Starpoints to Avois and these promotion stacks on top of that. This is to say that 20,000 Starpoints become 33,750 British Airways Avios. These points would be most useful for short-haul routes.
Marriott Travel Packages:
If you are sitting on a stock of Marriott Rewards points and you are not considering redeeming them for a Companion Pass, a travel package that includes British Airways might be worth a look. For example, 270k Marriott Rewards points would now get you a week at a Category 1-5 Marriott plus 162,000 British Airways Avios (120K + 35% = 162K):
If you’re looking for a higher-end package, I just stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi. As a Tier 2 Ritz-Carlton, it would cost 420,000 points for a week plus 162,000 Avios. With 10 restaurants and a Venetian Village to wander around, it could be a relaxing place for a week. Service was outstanding and the view at night from the room was gorgeous:
That said, if you’re looking to go to the UAE and you want to extract max value, you might be interested in this article about a Tier 2 Ritz-Carlton property where you can get a private villa with its own pool.
The British Airways hotel transfer promotion lasts until March 8, 2017 and also includes transfers from the following hotel programs: Club Carlson, Hilton Honors, Hyatt Gold Passport, IHG Rewards Club, and Shangri-La Golden Circle.
Do you have a link to the offer? Thx.
Yup — if you click the image of the British Airways ad at the bottom, it links to the offer, which can also be found here:

As for transferring the points, you just transfer from your hotel program of choice and the 35% bonus should be automatically added when your points get to BA.
