Capital One Offers has started offering increasingly generous rewards on purchases from certain retailers. We recently highlighted the opportunity to earn 15x on in-store purchases at CVS when paying with a linked card, but there’s now a new offer for Giftcards.com.
That one is offering 6x-9x transferable Capital One miles depending on the type of cards you buy, or 6%-9% cashback if you only have Capital One cards that earn cashback. Unfortunately not all Capital One cardholders appear to be targeted for this increased rate.
The Deal
- Earn 6x-9x miles on Giftcards.com purchases via Capital One Offers.
Key Terms
- Not eligible for any required taxes, service or shipping fees and orders over $2,000.
Quick Thoughts
Capital One Offers is a different entity to Capital One Shopping, although it functions in a somewhat similar way. Both of them are shopping portals, but they pay out in different ways. With Capital One Shopping, you earn cashback which can only be redeemed for a select (and seemingly ever-declining) list of gift cards. With Capital One Offers, you earn miles or cashback depending on the card(s) you have which can be far more preferable depending on the rates available.
In this case, earning 6x-9x at Giftcards.com is an excellent earning opportunity. You’ll earn 6x when buying Visa or Mastercard gift cards, 8x miles for single brand cards (e.g. Airbnb, Olive Garden, Sephora, etc.) and 9x miles for multi-store One4All gift cards. That’s on top of the rewards you’ll earn on whichever card you pay with.
To access Capital One Offers, log in to your Capital One account. On desktop, scroll down a little to the section headed ‘Shopping Offers’ and click to view ‘All Offers’. On that next screen, you should find Giftcards.com; if you don’t initially see it, there’s a search box to filter for a specific retailers.
Unfortunately not all Capital One cardholders appear to be targeted for this increased offer. My wife is seeing 6x-9x, whereas I’m only seeing 1x-2x. As a result, there might be other earning multipliers too.
Be sure to note that you won’t earn rewards for orders over $2,000.
Giftcards.com has also just launched a new sale giving 10%-15% off select gift cards. The promo codes for that sale was sent to affiliates which means that using those codes shouldn’t invalidate earning rewards through Capital One Offers.

I don’t see giftcards.com at all in the C1 offers page now! Search turns up nothing, but other vendors are fine.
Same, I don’t see gift cards.com at all today. Perhaps they took it down due to so many people jumping on it initially.
Was this a 1 day only thing? I don’t see it today on 8/6.
Interestingly I logged into my account and saw 6-8x. I remembered I should’ve used my clean Chrome browser but when I logged back into the same account it was only showing 2x. Thankfully I still had the original tab open and fingers crossed that the order still gets the 8x.
So maybe if you keep logging out and back in you may get the higher offer sometimes??
Stephen, is there a resource that lists the stores available on the “100s” card? Or, any of the others (not otherwise displayed on their respective faces)? Thanks.
Separately, I don’t see how to submit a receipt for a non-tracked transaction the way that one can with Rakuten. Have I missed something? Thanks.
An answer to a similar question on Reddit states that you should call 1(800) 955-7070 and ask for the Exclusive Products Servicing Department.
Thanks
I’m not sure I’m afraid
Heads up, which you can combine this with any card you want, you cannot file a claim (successfully) if anything tracks or is awarded incorrectly.
Do you have to use a Capital One card to pay?
No, I used my new Citi Strata Elite card to help meet initial spend. However, there is a risk to using non-Capital One cards. I found this out the hard way a few months back. If there’s a tracking issue, they can’t track if you didn’t use a Capital One card. Having said that, I received a tracking email a few hours after my purchase on Monday with the non-Capital One card.

I’ve got 6-8x but apparently Capital One auto-declines purchases from them and even after talking to the fraud team I’m not going to be able to use my Venture X to make the purchases. What an absolute joke of a company.
Can I make multiple orders, each below 2k and on different day?
If you order $2,000 worth and shipping fees are above that, will you lose the 6x? Any data points?
Any free shipping codes?
I got 2X. No thanks.
If you search for it in the search bar, it shows 2x. If you find it in the list below the search bar, mine shows “up to 8x”. Very peculiar, but just FYI.
Saw this and jumped on it this morning. Already got an email that it tracked. I used my new Strata Elite to help with initial spend. Always a little bit of a risk when you do these Capital One Offers when you don’t use Venture X, as I’ve learned from experience they can’t track on the backend if you use another card.
If using the Capital One card with the offer, how long does it take for the tracking to show up? Is there a method to upload the transaction receipt? Can’t find it.
My tracking email showed up the next day, but sometimes takes longer. There is no way to upload receipts. You’d have to call the number on the back of your card.
Thanks
