When visiting the Capital One Shopping home page, I’m only seeing 15% cashback for StubHub which, in itself, isn’t too shabby. It should be possible to do much better than that though.
I’ve already received one email from Capital One Shopping today offering 35% cashback which is an excellent return. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if even higher offers than that arrive via email later today, but there’s certainly no guarantee that’ll happen. The email offer I received is good for up to $1,000 cashback, so that’s up to $2,857 of tickets if maxing that out.
If you haven’t received any emails yet today and want to get a targeted offer for Capital One Shopping, I recommend browsing any site – whether that’s StubHub or some other retailer – with whom Capital One Shopping has an affiliate relationship while having its browser extension installed. You’ll often receive some kind of targeted email within a couple of hours, with the StubHub daily deal included in that even if that’s not the site you visited.
As a reminder, Capital One Shopping is the online shopping portal available for anyone – even non-cardholders. If you are a Capital One credit cardholder, it’s also worth checking Capital One Offers which is a shopping portal for cardholders only. I’m seeing StubHub at 20X there today, although those amounts are often targeted too, so you might see something even higher. If your card earns miles, you’ll earn that in the form of miles. If your card earns cashback, you’ll earn that in the form of straight cashback (versus the cashback that can only be redeemed for select gift cards on Capital One Shopping).
You can find Capital One Offers by logging in to your account and scrolling down to the section where it says ‘Activate shopping offers.’ Click on ‘View all offers’ and you should see StubHub listed towards the top.
As mentioned at the start of this post, these boosted rates are a great opportunity to earn substantial rewards when using the StubHub credit on the Chase Sapphire Reserve card.
