In the early morning hours, Stephen reported increased rates from Rakuten for National Cash Back Day today. As it turns out, this is apparently a cash back day started by Retailmenot. As you might then expect, Retailmenot is also featuring increased cash back rates today – in some cases offering the best cash back rates available today.
The Deal
- Retailmenot is featuring increased cash back rates November 5th and 6th in honor of National Cash Back Day, with rates as high as 20% cash back at some retailers
Key Terms
- Be sure to check individual store terms for maximum payouts and exclusions
Quick Thoughts
In some cases, the rates available today through Retailmenot are better than those available via Rakuten, particularly if you prefer cash back.
For example, Rakuten isn’t even featuring an increased rate at UGG (they are only currently offering 2% / 2x), whereas Retailmenot is offering 20% cash back.
That said, you need to be sure to check cash back terms via Retailmenot as they have limits in many cases that you may not be used to via other portals. For example, Retailmenot has the following terms for that 20% back:
20% cash back with rewards earnings not to exceed $50.
Combine with other offers for an even better deal! Cash back is earned on the qualifying purchase total after any discounts and before any fees, taxes, or shipping and handling are applied. Purchases of gift cards are excluded. Rewards earnings not to exceed $50.00.
As you can see, Retailmenot limits you to $50 cash back (which means your max purchase to score 20% back is $250). That may not be a problem for you, but it’s worth keeping your eye out for terms, especially if you’re placing a big order.
