Quick Thoughts
Not all cardholders are eligible for Spotify, but it looks like everyone may be able to get the Groupon deal. I’m not sure about Shoprunner.
Doctor of Credit reports it as 6 months of free Spotify Premium for new customers and then 5% back each month for 6 months, though I don’t see anything about a free membership on the landing page. I tried registering a couple of cards (both mine and my wife’s) for the Spotify deal to no avail (I got a message saying it wasn’t available on my card but if I have another card I can try that). I haven’t yet made it through all of the Chase cards in our household, so hopefully I’ll find it on one of them since I didn’t yet have subscribe when gift cards went on sale over the holidays.
The Groupon offer is nice if you spend money on Groupon, though it probably wouldn’t make me much more likely to do so. Better to have it than not (or perhaps better to wait until you have a large Groupon purchase to enroll?).

My wife got the targeted offer from Chase on this. The subject line says “XXXX, get more from your Chase Sapphire Reserve card”. It has all of this. I have a free Shoprunner through another card already. Shoprunner rarely works for me but I used to use it on Dominos pizza for years and saved a ton on their delivery fees. Her offer has the spotify and Groupon deals. It seems fairly standard to others. .
Got the targeted e-mail for my CSP card yesterday . “XXXX, activate these special offers.” it the subject.
I’m thinking that the Groupon should stack with Samsung Pay (I’m thinking make sure target card is both in SPay and primary in Groupon).
While I personally prefer Prime Music’s app interface – Spotify HUGE library (including International and niche artists) is far superior.
PSA – import playlist to a new free acct from (churned) old account
That said I did a free 3 month trial last spring and then the $.99 deal for I think 3 more months- I thought I was getting another 6 Months free with my Note 10+ purchase but Samsung deceptive advertising ( it was’nt disclosed -only new accts) I used a biz email to signup – my 19 yo daughter has used it for years – I shared my lament how I didn’t want to rebuild all my playlist that I built from Prime again – she said I could just follow music in my old account from a Desktop browser interface (not app).
