Frequent Miler's latest team challenge, Million Mile Madness, is almost done! The last two weeks Greg, Nick, and Stephen competed to earn 1 Million SAS miles by flying 15 airlines. But who completed the challenge with the most Speed, Affordability, and Style?
There is a new targeted Amex offer that gives $100 back on a $350 purchase with Delta. We found it on all five of our Amex business cards, but none of our personal cards, so it might be a business-only offer.
When these Delta Amex Offers come around, there are often various permutations of credits (ie, $75 off $250, $100 off $300). All of ours had the same $100 off $350, so that might be a change with this business card offer.
The Deal
- Targeted Amex offer for $100 back on $350 Delta spend. Enrollment is required and this offer may be targeted at business cardholders only.
Key Terms
- Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem.
- Only U.S.-issued American Express® Business Cards are eligible.
- Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels.
- Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card.
- Offer valid for purchases made directly with Delta Air Lines through U.S. delta.com, via Fly Delta U.S. App, and U.S. reservation telephone line.
- Flights must originate in the U.S., including U.S. territories, and purchases must be in U.S. dollars to qualify.
- Offer valid only for purchases where Delta Air Lines is the merchant of record, such as airfare, fare upgrades, seat selection fees, baggage fees, standby fees, and Delta Sky Club® memberships.
- Excludes the following: (i) purchases in-person at the airport where Delta is not the merchant of record, lounges, and sales offices, (ii) all purchases on-board flights including food, beverage, and WiFi, (iii) stand alone hotel bookings and car rentals through delta.com, (iv) purchases through third parties or affiliated agents, (v) Delta Vacations®, Delta Dive, Delta Cargo, On Demand Charter services, Delta Flight Museum, SkyMiles® Marketplace purchases, SkyMiles Experiences™, SkyMiles Cruises, Delta Meeting Network, and (vi) travel insurance/trip protection, gift card purchases, and charitable donations.
Quick Thoughts
If you’re not already awash in unused Delta credit, this is a nice deal. Past offers have been $75 off $200 and $120 off of $300, so take a look in case any of those are around this time. Gift card purchases are officially excluded, but offers have been triggered by buying gift cards ON DESKTOP directly from Delta.com (YMMV). Do not use mobile devices if buying gift cards as it doesn’t always trigger the offer.
Let us know if you find any different Delta offer besides the $100/$350 and we’ll add them to the post!
Maybe just Tim and his wife were targeted? ; )
Tim, will it work to book cancelable fare & a $100 stmt credit still stay afterwards?
Yes, so long as you wait 24 hours to cancel in order to make sure that the charge is not refunded to your credit card (and make sure that you don’t buy a full-refundable fare that goes back to the original form of payment either).
hey Tim, not what i meant; don’t need a delta travel cr nor gc.. just thought to ask if past amex stmt cr sticked if the fare was no longer there
if wanted, i can msg u on FB group
Oh, sorry. Most likely not. AMEX almost always claws back the credit.
0 for 20+
That’s just terrible luck. How many of those are business cards?
20+, none on personal either.
No joy here, either. 0 for 7, including 4 biz cards. : (
I don’t have it on any of my 7 business cards or 1 personal card. 🙁
