Update 4/20/19: The cashback rate has been reduced to 4%, but it’s still available for Gold members.
Booking Hilton stays having clicked through from a shopping portal doesn’t tend to be very rewarding as most portals only offer 1% cashback if you have any form of status.
That’s not the case today as the Kiindly shopping portal is offering 7.3% cashback when making paid reservations at any of Hilton’s brands and this includes members with Silver or Gold status. Provided it tracks OK, that’s a great deal on Hilton stays.
The Deal
- Earn 7.3% cashback on Hilton stays booked having clicked through from the Kiindly shopping portal.
- Direct link to Hilton listing on Kiindly (other Hilton brands are also available)
Key Terms
- 7.3% cashback earned on a hotel room and package sales that result in a concluded stay. Non Hilton members, Blue, Silver and Gold Level Members.
Quick Thoughts
It’s the fact that Silver and Gold members are eligible for this higher rate that’s so notable. Both these status levels are easily attainable which means many of you will have them. You get automatic Silver status with the no annual fee Hilton Honors credit card, while Gold status comes as a benefit on a range of cards including the Hilton Ascend, Hilton Business and Amex Platinum cards.
Most shopping portals restrict how much cashback members with these status levels can earn. For example, TopCashback only pays 4% if you’re not a Hilton Honors member or you have their entry-level Blue status.
The UseJewel portal offers 7% cashback for Hilton reservations, but only if you have Silver status or lower.
Kiindly on the other hand is offering 7.3% cashback to all Hilton Honors members, except for those with Diamond status (sorry Aspire cardholders!)
One thing I should say is that I have a grand total of 0% experience with Kiindly. I’ve seen it listed on Cashback Monitor before, but I’ve never used it for online shopping and haven’t even signed up for an account yet. I therefore don’t have any idea as to how reliable their tracking is, how quickly they pay out, etc.
If I needed to make a paid Hilton reservation and had Silver or Gold status though, I’d personally risk it and click through from Kiindly in the hope that the 7.3% would track. The alternative would be only earning 1% cashback when clicking through from more established sites like Ebates or TopCashback, so you wouldn’t be losing out on much if Kiindly didn’t track or payout as expected. It’s a moot point for me though as my wife has Diamond status, so we’re limited to 1% cashback no matter which portal we use.
I doubt this 7.3% rate will last long, so it might be worth making reservations today if you need to book a Hilton stay.
