Choice Privileges has launched a new promotion offering double points on all stays through April 7, 2025. This’ll probably be disappointing for people who have two cheap one night stays during the promo period, but people booking one stay or two or more longer stays will end up being better off.

- The Offer is only available to members of the Choice Privileges Rewards Program who register for it, book on a qualifying channel, and then make a qualifying stay at a participating hotel between February 10, 2025, and April 7, 2025.
- The Choice Privileges member number must be on the reservation. WoodSpring Suites hotels, Mainstay Suites, Everhome Suites, Suburban Studios and Ascend Hotel Collection all-inclusive resorts, among others, are not participating brands for this Offer.
- Bonus Point Awards: Registered members will be awarded Double Bonus Points for each qualifying stay. “Double Bonus Points” means two times the base points earned from a qualifying stay. Double Bonus Points will only be awarded for those portions of the stay that are during the Promotion Period. This promotion is not applicable to groups and cannot be combined with any other discounts, special offers or promotions. To be eligible to earn bonus points, members must set their earning preference to Choice Privileges points in their online account. Any change made to earning preference will remain in effect after the promotion has ended unless the member changes it. Bonus points are not subject to any Elite bonus.
- The Offer is only valid for qualifying stays, which exclude rooms booked below certain rates, reward night stays, complimentary rooms, rooms paid for as part of a convention or meeting, rooms booked through a travel agent, wholesale packages, group tours, and stays booked using the employee discount or the friends, family and associate discount.
- Members may take advantage of this Offer a maximum of four times during the Offer period, although the member may continue to earn base points (and any Elite bonuses) on subsequent qualifying stays. Bonus points are not awarded if you check out early.
Quick Thoughts
Choice tends to run several promotions throughout the year. About 80% of the time they ensure that you earn at least 8,000 points when staying twice within the promo period. If you happen to book two cheap stays of one night each, ending up with 8,000 points at the end of it is a good return.
The downside with that other type of promotion is that it’s less rewarding for other scenarios. For example, someone booking an expensive week-long stay at a Choice property wouldn’t earn any bonus points whatsoever, whereas with this new double points promotion they would.
Double points isn’t a large enough reward to move the needle in terms of moving stays to Choice, but it’s worth registering for the promo just in case you end up booking a paid stay in the next couple of months.
As always, click through from a shopping portal before booking a stay in order to earn additional rewards. If you have the Capital One Shopping browser extension installed, do a little search on the Choice website and wait a little bit as you’ll often get sent a high targeted offer. For example, a week ago the portal sent me a targeted offer giving 20% back on Choice Hotels stays on up to $1,250 of spend.
