Earn Hyatt bonus points when using Peloton during stays

14

Cycling credit is something people in the points and miles world are sometimes wary of due to how banks view that kind of activity, but Hyatt and Peloton are now rewarding you with cycling credit. Not by putting a lot of spend on your credit cards, but by using Peloton bikes or rowing machines during stays at Hyatt properties.

We published this post last year, but wanted to republish it as this feature is still going strong with no kind of end date listed.

The Deal

Key Terms

  • Limit 1,000 bonus points per month.
  • Workouts must last at least 20 minutes.

Quick Thoughts

At the time of publishing this, there are 730 participating properties – you can find the full list here.

This is a useful opportunity for earning incremental points during stays for those who already use Peloton equipment, but 100 points at a time isn’t going to be a huge earner for most people. For road warriors though, it gives a chance to earn up to 12,000 points per year for activity that they might well have been doing anyway.

So I get paid to work out? That’s a nice extra motivation!

Troy

terms now state 10min: “ride or row of at least 10 minutes” and comments below seem to mean a 30min workout would credit 300pts, which makes this much nicer

I’ve gotten 100 points for 10 min workouts actually, so not sure if T&C is incorrect. Can attest that 10 min workout worked in 2 different properties in 2026 (200 points total).

I can confirm that the 10 minute workout qualifies for the 100 points. Additionally, it does say it on the Peloton x Hyatt promo website
“Work out for 10 minutes or more on Peloton equipment at participating Hyatt properties and earn 100 World of Hyatt Bonus Points each time. Maximum of 10 qualifying workouts per month.”

At a stay this past weekend, I created a new peloton account, linked it to my Hyatt account, and tested this out with a 30 minute session (day 1) and 20 minute session (day 2). The 500 points posted within an hour after I completed the workouts on both days. It was an easy 1000 points!

Of note, I normally don’t bike, and I definitely felt it… on my glutes. I’m in pretty good shape, but those seats are tiny. Next month, I’ll try just doing 20 minutes of cooldowns/stretches and see if that qualifies.

Thanks for reposting this! I didn’t know, and I have several Hyatt stays booked this year.

Love this perk. Hate when the Pelotons aren’t working at the Hyatts!

Gregg

Sounds like an episode of Black Mirror.

I thought of the same thing

Matthew

The actually had a 5x promo not long ago, and I thought I registered, but I’ve done two workouts so far and only earned 100 points. 🙁

I’m curious, but given that peloton classes don’t actually require interaction could one just start a 20min ride on an empty bike at a random time and let it finish the class and time out and get credit? Mostly curious if I could churn an extra 100 pts each time I walked past the gym on a stay….
(note I’m a regular peloton rider at home already thus I know how class interaction and timeouts work)

For those who are not currently Peloton users, is this something we can sign up and use occasionally without a paid subscription? Or does this require at least some sort of paid app? I do not currently use Peloton, but I do tend to work out when I stay at Hyatt properties.

Linda

I use Peloton occasionally at my gym. The gym pays for the license, but I had to sign up for a free Peloton account. I was able to use that free account a couple of months ago at a Hyatt Place to access the workouts on the Peloton bike. Hopefully the Hyatts will have more than the single bike in that HP gym otherwise demand will likely outstrip supply.
