SVMGiftCards via eBay is selling $100 ExxonMobil gift cards for $90 with a limit of 3 per eBay user. This purchase will also earn 2% back in eBay Bucks and a couple of portals are paying 1.5% for eBay purchases.
While eBay merchant gift card purchases from GiftCardMall and Paypal Digital Gifts have been earning 5X Ultimate Rewards with Chase Ink cards, it is unclear whether purchases from this seller will earn 5X.
One way to possibly achieve a 5X return is to purchase eBay gift cards through Paypal Digital Gifts and then use those cards to purchase the ExxonMobil cards. If you go this route keep in mind that it takes a few hours for eBay gift cards to become active and there is a possibility that the ExxonMobil deal will no longer be available.

Do Exxon Mobil cards count as the “cash price” at the pump? I’ve Googled but have come up empty. I know Shell cards do for sure, but that’s the only one I’m positive about.
I have seen varying reports. It seems to differ station to station. I would suggest asking at your local station just to make sure.
eBay TC say that eBay bucks are earned only if one pays with Paypal. If we assume that Chase Ink earns 5 points with that seller, then in order to get both the bucks and Ink points, one would have to link the Chase card to PP account, then decrease the PP balance to zero because otherwise the balance will be used instead of the CC. Did I get that right?
Yes. However, do note that I just read some comments that Ink wasn’t posting 5x points for this seller. I just checked my account activity and I only see 1x the points. I am not 100% on how Chase credits your points, but I am hopeful that it’s because the transaction hasn’t cleared.
