Fairmont is running a “Winter Offer” whereby you can get discounts of 10-20% at many hotels (with a minimum 2-night stay for discounts starting at 10% and minium 5-night stay for discounts of up to 20%). While I don’t typically get excited about sales yielding “up to” amounts rather than a set discount, in this case the discounts do come off of member rates. And since Accor Live Limitless points have fixed value against cash, a discount of 10-20% on the rate means awards for fewer points, too.

Quick Thoughts
If a hotel is eligible for your dates, you should see the discount in the various rate packages offered.
As noted at the top, we don’t often post sales offering an unspecified discount, but in this case, it seemed worth noting specifically because of the way that Accor Live Limitless points can be used at a value of 2 euro cents per point (about 2.33c at the current exchange rate). That means that if you can score a discount on the room, it will cost you fewer points. THat could make this an attractive sale for those transferring from bank programs who were eyeing a qualifying Fairmont property.
Do note that there are some excluded properties (like the Fairmont San Francisco for instance) that you’ll find by clicking the “Conditions of Sale” link on the lanidng page.
